AleXa recently had an exclusive interview with KpopStarz, where she discussed her solo comeback, dream collaboration, acting debut, new concepts she wants to try, and more!

AleXa Talks about What She's Been Doing Lately, New Concepts for Songs, Dream Collab, and More

To begin the interview, "Bomb" singer AleXa was asked to share what she has been doing these days and what habits or skills she was able to develop amid the pandemic.

AleXa revealed that she has been writing loads of songs and enjoying a lot of movies.

"I have also been super into beading ever since the pandemic started...I have made more bracelets than I can count," she added.

The K-pop solo artist then talked about her "Revolution" music video, particularly her favorite stunt in the MV and how she prepared for the video filming.

AleXa unveiled, "It was so fun learning how to do the wire combat! I would love to go back to action school and learn more."

Besides learning stunts prior to the "Revolution" MV shoot, it turned out that the soloist also had a lot of workouts and maintained a healthy diet.

During the exclusive interview, KpopStarz also asked AleXa to share if there are new concepts she would like to try in the future, or she prefers to continue the story of her songs, which all have a space-action, cinematic vibe.

The female soloist said that she would like to try a dark concept, which exudes a vampire-like and macabre atmosphere. She would also want to try a sexy and chic concept.

But apart from trying out new concepts, AleXa also plans to continue the story. She stated, "Of course, we will be continuing the AleXa saga throughout the span of my career, but since my concept is 'multiverse,' there will always be more than one AleXa in existence!"

Later on, AleXa discussed her recent song "Is It On," which is a collab with Bader Alshuaibi for Spotify's "Radar Collaboration Project" of Spotify.

The female K-pop solo artist shared, "This collaboration was a great honor to participate in. I'm so grateful to Spotify and RADAR for making this happen! It was a refreshing mix of cultures & sound, and I'm grateful that it was received as well as it was!"

Speaking of collaboration, AleXa was asked to share which artists she would like to work with in the future. She revealed that she wants to team up with Ashnikko and Doja Cat, who she calls her "queens."

Regarding her acting debut in the Netflix drama "Goedam 2," AleXa said that it was an honor to have been part of it.

"I've always been a huge horror fan, and the fact that Zanybros loves horror, too, made the experience all the more enjoyable. Working beside some other talented idols was a great learning experience for me!" She shared.

And as for her solo comeback, AleXa revealed that A.I Troopers can expect a new solo release this summer, although she didn't specify whether there will be a new single or an album.

Here are additional questions from the interview:

So far, we've seen different AleXas in these music videos. Could you tell us more about this alter ego / multiverse concept, and is it possible we're going to get a new AleXa in the future?

As I said earlier, my concept is multiverse. That means, there will always be more than one AleXa in existence. Whether or not these AleXas will meet each other - that is yet to be decided. But keep your eyes peeled for what new storylines unfold and what AleXas will be found within them.

We've seen a lot of your fans - A.I Troopers - online say that you're a "whole group yourself" since you can dance, can sing, can rap (pretty much everything!), and that they really, really love stanning you. How do you feel about this?

First of all, thank you for the compliment~ I have many shortcomings, but thank you~ Thank you for believing in me and for supporting me! You all are my inspiration for improvement!

Any chance for "TRIP? TRAP!" to have a new season? Which places would you like to visit next if there's a possibility for a sophomore season?

Not sure about a new season, but if we do film a new season, I'd love to go to Jeju~

We heard that you love listening to songs by SHINee's Taemin and HyunA. What made you love their music? Which of their songs are your ultimate favorites?

I got into K-pop back in 2008, right when SHINee debuted. I've watched Taemin grow as an artist ever since his first solo album- he's an incredible dancer and his stage presence is like no other. He's a big inspiration for me.

As for HyunA, she has always been this brilliant performer that I have aspired to be like. She is stunning- looks, talént, charisma, she is my idol. My all-time favorite Taemin song is "Danger" & my favorite song from HyunA is, recently, "Flower Shower."

About your latest single, "Never Let you Go" - What's the song all about? Is there a story or inspiration for it?

The lyrics could be interpreted in several ways. It's about missing something, whether it's a friend, a lover, it's up to the listener. For me, I sing it as if I am missing my past self. That is the message the Korean version sends. However, the English version has a completely different meeting. I wrote the English version myself, and it has a deeper meaning that I hope other people can look into and find appreciation for.

You're slated to perform on Joy Ruckus Club's "K-Pop Superfest" soon, and we're really excited about your performance! What should your fans look forward to? Could you give us a spoiler?

I'm super excited to be performing at Joy Ruckus Club's K-Pop Superfest" concert! It's nice that I get to perform right before my comeback. I'm not sure how much of a surprise my stage will be, but I hope that people anticipate the usual AleXa brand.

What are your plans after the world heals? Do you plan to meet your fans, say, through a concert?

Ideally, a tour would be in the plans. I'd love to see my A.I. Troopers worldwide, once the pandemic settles.

Message to your A.I Troopers?

Thank you for all your constant love and support, it truly gives me the motivation to keep going. Everything I do, I do with y'all in mind. Thank you for being my source of strength, inspiration, and passion. Stay safe and stay healthy. Love you!
