As TWICE hits seven years as a group, many of their South Korean fans are worried that they will choose not to renew their exclusive contracts with JYP Entertainment.
TWICE debuted back in Oct. 2015, meaning the girls will soon be hitting their seventh anniversary as a group. As most fans know, the girls signed a seven-year exclusive contract with JYP Entertainment.
Many Worry That TWICE Won't Renew Exclusive Contracts with JYP Entertainment
As the time for them to renew their contracts get closer, many wonder if the nine TWICE members will renew their contract with the girl group.
Fans are under the impression that not all TWICE members would renew. According to some, the members appear to look tired during schedules. Though they perform for fans and have a lot of love for ONCEs, many note the emotional and physical toll it takes to be an idol.
TWICE has always been a topic of scrutiny. Whether it's about their live vocals, their dance skills, or their visuals, it appears TWICE has become an easy target for online hate, which could also be a factor as to why the members would choose not to renew their contract.

Others think that some, if not all, members of TWICE would opt not to renew their contracts with JYP Entertainment because they have made a hefty amount of money throughout their years promoting, and they have already garnered enough experiences as an idol.
Some fans recalled that TWICE said they would want to retire from the entertainment industry in one interview while they are in their prime.
As TWICE's popularity continues to soar, this has lead people to worry that they will suddenly vanish.

The members that people are convinced would choose to retire are Mina and Jeongyeon. Previously, both members took a hiatus from activities due to mental health and anxiety. The two have also been struggling with an injury, with Mina struggling with a knee injury and Jeongyeon with a herniated disc.
However, many argued that there is no reason for TWICE to leave JYP Entertainment. Some noted that the members' individual influence is not that big, as the company rarely gives the members solo activities. Their "Melody Projects" are always tied back to TWICE, and when one or two members appear on variety shows, it is often to promote TWICE as a whole.

The company has allowed some members to partake in solo photoshoots, but even that is rare. The members do not have any solo CF deals.
Due to their lack of recognition as individual idols and their more significant influence as a group, many are convinced the group will stay united.
Whether the girls choose to renew their contracts or not, their South Korean fans have stated that they will continue to support TWICE members in all their endeavors, and they will root for them no matter what path they wish to take.
However, many note how badly JYP Entertainment would be impacted if TWICE were to leave the label.
