KCON:TACT 4 U, which has successfully connected artists and fans all over the world amid the COVID-19 pandemic, wrapped up with millions of audience members after its nine-day run.
On June 28, KCON announced the impressive amount of viewers that the virtual K-pop concert garnered from June 19 to 27.
What is KCON?
KCON is the biggest convention and music festival that commemorates Korean pop culture and entertainment. It also brings K-pop artists and fans closer and features epic performances by the idols. The event has taken place in countries such as the United States, Japan, Thailand, France, and more.
The convention decided to hold an online version, called KCON:TACT, due to the ongoing pandemic. The first event took place in June last year.
KCON:TACT 4 U is already the fourth season of the music festival, and it also served as an online fan meeting.
KCON:TACT 4 U Attracts Millions of Audience Members in Nine Days
During the event period of 2021 KCON:TACT, the audience members were treated to performances by a total of 26 artists.

The boy groups that were present at the event were A.C.E, ASTRO, BTOB, CNBLUE, Ghost9, Golden Child, Highlight, iKON, JO1, ONUES, ONF, P1Harmony, Pentagon, SF9, Stray Kids, The Boyz, TO1, and VERIVERY.
Former WANNA ONE member Ha Sung Woon also participated in the K-pop concert. SEVENTEEN was initially part of the lineup, however, the boy group is currently in self-quarantine.
As for the girl groups, EVERGLOW, fromis_9, LOONA, Oh My Girl, ITZY, Weeekly, and Weki Meki were included in the list of performers.
Throughout KCON:TACT 4 U, CJ ENM's unique directing ability and digital platform-optimized technology have been added to give the fans around the world a better un-tact festival experience.
Moreover, KCON made use of V DIUM, a virtual stadium that lets fans experience the excitement of the concert vividly.

In addition to the regular performances by artists, the 2021 KCON:TACT also featured a "Music Room" segment where special stages were shown.
The music festival further received a great response from the fans as M2's popular content "Relay Dance" was also included.
Furthermore, KCON:TACT 4 U had fandom-friendly content where the audience members and artists directly interact and communicate through the online fan meeting "Meet & Greet."
The virtual series of K-pop concert officially concluded on Sunday, June 27. According to KCON, more than five million audience members tuned into from 155 countries through their nine-day live stream festival.
A portion of the proceeds accumulated through the concert and the Meet & Greet event will be donated to CJ and UNESCO's Girls' Education campaign to provide a better educational environment for girls around the world.
Other Segments of KCON:TACT 4 U
Apart from the performances by the 26 K-pop artists at the main event, KCON:TACT 4 U also included a "KCON World Premiere" that highlighted the rookie boy group GHOST9. This segment featured the boys communicating and performing for 75 minutes.

A "KCON Studio" was also presented. K-pop artists and influencers introduced various K-culture content such as K-beauty and K-food. The Boyz collaborated with the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation to release content promoting Korea's representative agri-food and K-food through games.
Meanwhile, CJ ENM plans to continue releasing various additional content of the 2021 KCON:TACT. Fans can find behind-the-scenes videos and replay services on the KCON Official YouTube channel.
