On June 30, television program TMI News revealed the "BEST 14 Filial Piety Stars."
In context, filial piety is a desirable trait or attitude, particularly of a Korean, such as showing respect, devotion, and love to parents through service, gifts, etc.
Among numerous K-pop stars in the realm, BIGBANG leader G-Dragon, SEVENTEEN Hoshi, Super Junior Yesung, idol-actor Ong Seongwu, among others, entered the rankings - and you'll be surprised with the amount that they gifted their parents!
Filial Piety Rappers in Korean Hip-Hop Industry: Who Made It to the List?
The 14th spot went to Korean hip-hop artist Simon D, which surprised the viewers upon the revelation of his devotion to his family.
According to the broadcast, he gave a four million won worth of cash as pocket money to his father and a six million won luxury watch to his mother on Parents' Day.
Simon D, who recently appeared on "I Live Alone" with his niece Chae Chae, also gifted her a 3.3 million won high-end kid car and 5 million won on her first birthday.
Rapper DinDin then ranked 11th, who gave his father a premium sedan that costs about 119 million won.
Hip-hop rapper Loco, who ranks third, is the most filial piety star among the musicians mentioned.
Loco gave her mother a foreign car and an apartment in Seongsudong. The average price of an apartment in Seongsudong is 1.1 billion won.
When he joined the military, he also left a huge sum of money to his mother for her expenses in two years.

Super Junior Yesung ranked No. 10, trailing behind DinDin. Due to his father who had an accident while working overtime in Seoul, the idol set up a cafe for his parents that cost 120 million won.
Former Wanna One member turned actor Ong Seongwu ranked 6th on the rankings. He bought a new apartment for his parents when he first settled down in Incheon. According to reports, the estimated price of the apartment cost 322 million won.
Aside from the house, Ong Seongwu also presented his parents with about 6 million won worth of home appliances and furniture, including beds, air conditioners, and TVs.
SEVENTEEN Hoshi also entered the rankings as fifth. He made a heartwarming surprise to his parents when he bought his childhood house.
Initially, Hoshi's family lived in that house when he was a kid. However, his father's business didn't go well, so they sold it.
When he rose to stardom, SEVENTEEN Hoshi bought it back - which now costs 358 million won. The idol also paid 3 million won for his mother and sister's double eyelid surgeries.
BIGBANG G-Dragon is also on the list!
The icon is truly an ideal son after gifting his parents a luxurious pension in Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province.
In 2012, CNN reported that G-Dragon presented his parents with a pension of 11 rooms.
Meanwhile, Korean actors also made it to Top 14. This includes Song Ga In (No. 13), "Doom at Your Service" star Seo In Guk (No. 12), Yang Jieun, trot singer (No. 9), "#ALIVE" actress Park Shin Hye (No. 8), Ha Jungwoo (No. 7), Park Ji Sung, a football player (No. 2), and Korean superstar Jo In Sung (No. 1).
