Which K-pop group will be the next artist to Top Billboard following BTS? In a recent poll, these 10 K-pop groups - EXO, TWICE, Red Velvet, ONF, and more - gained huge expectations from fans to succeed BTS in the U.S. chart.
On July 5, the result for the first week of July voting for the Exciting DC polling platform was released. On one of the poll topics, "What next-generation group can reach the top of the Billboard chart after BTS?" the vocal group La Poem ranked No. 1.
Following them, EXO, NCT Dream, TWICE, and more also entered the rankings.
La Poem Receives Most Expectation from K-pop Fans to Sit Atop Billboard Charts
In particular, the poll which was held by Exciting DC along with DC Inside and MyCelebs ran from June 27 to July 3. In the final results released in the platform, La Poem then came as No.1 with 85.86% (3310 votes).
La Poem's MyCelebs attractive keywords that were often used to them were "getting a standing ovation," "complimented for near-perfect harmony," "impressive singing ability," "great" and "appealing power."

For those who are not familiar with La Poem, they are a male crossover vocal group that consists of tenors Yoo Chaehoon, Choi Sung Hoon, baritone Jung Minsung and Park Kihun.
They are the winners of "Phantom Singer 3," and due to their perfect synergy, they were formed as a group and debuted in 2020. Despite being rookies, they are deemed as "Vocal Avengers" in the music scene.
La Poem's team name combines French "La Boheme," which means Bohemian, an artist who lives a free-spirited life, and English "Poem," which means poetry, to play a piece of poem-like music.

EXO, NCT Dream, TWICE, Red Velvet, More: Which K-pop Group Do You Think Can Succeed BTS in Billboard Charts No. 1?
Following La Poem, K-pop enthusiasts showed huge expectations from EXO to top Billboard Charts as well. They ranked No. 2 in the rankings, followed by NCT Dream as No. 3.
Both male groups under SM Entertainment truly showed impressive records from their previous releases. Recently, EXO's special album 'DON'T FIGHT THE FEELING' continues to enter in United World Album Chart with 132,000 units sold, ranking No. 5 - bringing a current total of 1,071,000 units sold on the chart.
Meanwhile, NCT Dream who ranked 3 in the rankings is doing incredible records on domestic charts Hanteo Charts. On July 5, the sub-unit achieved the highest record of album sales in the chart for a repackage album, with approximately 680,000 album copies.

On the fourth and fifth places, Brave Girls and TWICE ranked respectively. When TWICE released their new EP. "Taste of Love," the group became the second girl group after BLACKPINK to debut in the Top 10 of Billboard 200. As they penetrate the chart, fans have high expectations if they can beat their own record and arose to top on their next release.
Red Velvet also entered the rankings at No. 8. Following SM Entertainment's announcement that the group will finally have a comeback this August, fans are expectant if they will dominate the domestic and international charts again.
Lastly, Stray Kids, OH MY GIRL, WEi, and ONF completed the top 10 at No. 6, No. 7, No. 9, and No. 10, in order.
