What is Billboard Pop Songs Airplay Chart?

Billboard's Pop Songs Airplay Chart is a weekly ranking of the most-played songs of various genres on over 160 mainstream Top 40 radio stations in the United States.

Not all K-pop songs can land inside this Top 40 music chart, hence, entering the chart is one of the biggest achievements for Korean acts.

Not to mention, there are only six K-pop artists in history to ever chart on the Billboard Pop Songs Airplay, and now TXT has joined them.

TXT Magic Debuts on the Billboard Pop Songs Airplay Chart for the Week Ending on July 10

On July 6 (local time), Billboard announced that TXT's first English song "Magic" has made it to the Pop Songs Airplay chart for the week ending on July 10.

This is the first time that the quintet landed on the Top 40 music chart since their debut in 2019.

According to Billboard, TXT's "Magic" has debuted at No. 40 on the latest Pop Songs Airplay chart.

While the five-piece group claimed the last place on the US chart, this appearance is still a notable win for them. In particular, the fourth-generation boy group has become the seventh Korean artist in history to enter the chart.

The first six K-pop acts to succeed in charting on the Billboard Pop Songs Airplay are PSY, BTS, BLACKPINK, MONSTA X, LOONA, and SUGA of BTS.

With the girl group, LOONA, included in the list, TXT becomes the second fourth-generation idol group to debut on the US chart.

The other K-pop entries on the Top 40 tally are PSY's "Gangnam Style," BTS's "Dynamite," BLACKPINK's "Ice Cream," MONSTA X's "Who Do U Love?" feat. French Montana, LOONA's "Star," and SUGA's "Blueberry Eyes" with Max Schneider.

TXT's debut on the Billboard Pop Songs Airplay chart can be viewed as proof that their popularity in the United States is continuously expanding.

"Magic" is included in the boy group's latest album, "The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE" and is their very first English-language song.

"Magic" is an upbeat disco-pop track that is opposite to the emotional pop-rock title track, "0X1=LOVESONG (I Know I Love You)."
