Girls' Generation Launches Official TikTok Account

On July 6, it was revealed that the legendary second-generation girl group, Girls' Generation - also known as SNSD, had opened up an official account on the short-video sharing social media platform, TikTok!

The account (girlsgeneration.official), which has only been launched for less than 24 hours, had already garnered more than 27,000 followers. As the account is still new, there are no videos posted yet. And as Girls' Generation member Taeyeon had just made her comeback with "Weekend," her name is featured as the profile picture of the page.

As the launching of the account was rather sudden and unexpected by fans of the group, collectively known as SONE, the launch had once again sparked rumors among fans that the group will be making a comeback soon.

As the members of Girls' Generation have ventured into their own solo careers, such as participating in musicals, dramas, films, variety shows, and more, as well as some members of the group departing from SM Entertainment after their contracts expired, the probability of a full group comeback seems to be getting slimmer.

Yuri Comments on Girls' Generation's Future Activities

However, recently, Girls' Generation member Yuri had hinted at the group's future activities. As Yuri recently concluded her latest drama, "Bossam: Steal the Fate," she made a comment regarding the group during the end of the show interview.

According to Yuri, the members of Girls' Generation are currently sharing ideas with one another regarding the group's future activities and requests fans to be more patient as each member is doing their best in their respective solo activities.

"We want to present ourselves whenever and wherever if there is an opportunity, and I feel that there will be a good one soon. However, we are not rushing as we want to present the best music and performance," said Yuri during the ending interview for "Bossam: Steal the Fate."

Meanwhile, Girls' Generation's most recent comeback was back in August 2017 with the release of their ninth studio album and sixth Korean studio album, "Holiday Night."
