BTS Holds the Record for the Most MV with 100 Million Views, Has the Four Biggest YouTube Premieres

Among K-pop artists, BTS has the most music video with 100 million views on YouTube. The septet also has the four outstanding YouTube premieres in history!

On July 9, BTS returned with a new English-language song, titled "Permission to Dance," which was co-written and co-composed by world-renowned singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran.

On July 11, BTS "Permission to Dance" MV surpassed 100 million views on YouTube. With this, the K-pop boy group achieved much more than that.

On July 11 at approximately 5:09 p.m. KST, BTS "Permission to Dance" music video exceeded 100 million YouTube views.

The MV was released at 1 p.m. KST on July 9. This means the milestone was achieved in nearly two days and four hours after the video was dropped.

"Permission to Dance" becomes the group's second new song to hit 100 million YouTube views this 2021, following their hit "Butter."

In addition to this, "Permission to Dance" is now BTS's 35th full group MV to accumulate more than 100 million views, following "DNA," "Film Out," "Dynamite," "Life Goes On," "ON," "Boy With Luv," "Blood Sweat & Tears," "Fake Love," and more.

With BTS "Permission to Dance" MV reaching 100 million views on YouTube, the boy group now has the most music video among K-pop artists to score the mark.

In its first 24 hours, BTS "Permission to Dance" MV recorded 72.3 million views, according to YouTube.

Apart from the views, the seven-member boy group has set another impressive YouTube premiere with "Permission to Dance." A YouTube premiere is where viewers watch a new music video together in real-time.

At the time of its release, the YouTube premiere of BTS "Permission to Dance" music video exceeded 2.3 million concurrent viewers, setting the fourth-biggest YouTube premiere in history.

BTS has now occupied the first four places on the list of striking YouTube premieres, from "Dynamite," "Life Goes On," and "Butter," to "Permission to Dance."

"Dynamite" and "Life Goes On" both drew over three million viewers, while "Butter" gained more than 3.9 million viewers.

BTS Permission to Dance Debuts High on the Spotify Global Top 200

Meanwhile, BTS's new song entered the Spotify Global Top 200 with impressive streams.

On July 9, "Permission to Dance" landed at No. 2 on the Spotify chart with a total of 7,339,385 streams.

Moreover, the track ranked first on the Spotify Top 200 chart in 13 different countries including South Korea, Russia, Vietnam, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand.

BTS "Permission to Dance" has also set the second-biggest song debut on Spotify of all time. It accumulated 13.49 million streams and now comes after "Butter" with 20.88 million streams.

The English-language single has also attained the third-highest daily stream of all time. It garnered a total of 52,193,919 streams on July 9 and now follows "Life Goes On" with 62,221,988 streams and "Butter" with 56,225,809 streams.
