BLACKPINK Jennie Holds the YouTube Record for Fastest Channel to Reach 1 Million Subscribers
On Jan. 15, BLACKPINK member Jennie opened her own YouTube channel, called "Jennierubyjane Official," in celebration of her birthday, which is on Jan. 16.
On the same day, Kim Jennie uploaded her first video, titled "Hello world. From Jennie." In the video, the "SOLO" singer shared that she will unveil her daily life through her YouTube channel.
As soon as BLACKPINK Jennie's YouTube channel was launched, it caught the interest of many fans, who quickly subscribed to her channel.

Considering the time of hitting one million YouTube subscribers, BLACKPINK member Jennie set the YouTube record for the fastest channel to hit the mark.
Jennie surpassed one million subscribers in less than seven hours of launching her YouTube channel, proving her global popularity. She eventually received a gold play button for achieving the milestone.
In just two days, BLACKPINK Jennie's YouTube subscribers reached three million.
As of today, Kim Jennie has 6.61 million subscribers on the platform.
BLACKPINK Holds the YouTube Record for Most Views and Subscribers
If Jennie attained one million subscribers in the shortest time with her personal channel, BLACKPINK, the K-pop girl group where she is part of, holds the record regarding YouTube views.
In particular, BLACKPINK has set the YouTube record for the most views among K-pop girl groups.
Since their debut in 2016, the quartet has uploaded several music videos. As of April, BLACKPINK has nine MVs with 400 million views, the most among the female groups.

Notably, BLACKPINK's "Lovesick Girls" accumulated 100 million YouTube views in only 75 hours. And, at the time of its release, it was the most viewed video on YouTube for a week.
In addition, BLACKPINK is the most-subscribed music group on YouTube, having 63 million subscribers as of July 16.
The quartet now comes second to Justin Bieber, the most-subscribed musician around the world with 64.3 million subscribers as of July 16.
BTS Holds the YouTube Record for Most Likes and Views in the Shortest Time
Lastly, BTS, who is dominating the global market with their several hits, is also setting records on YouTube.
On July 9, BTS released a new English-language single, titled "Butter." The music video for the song immediately set historic records on the platform.

BTS's "Butter" MV surpassed one million likes even before it was released, and after it was dropped, the MV had 10 million views in 13 minutes, 30 million views in two hours and 20 minutes, and 100 million views in 20 hours and 56 minutes.
All of these are the shortest YouTube records in the world, showing BTS's incredible fame.
Apart from this, BTS also holds the four biggest YouTube premieres of all time and the most music videos with 100 million views.
