GOT7 Jay B is set to release his first solo album as a H1GHR MUSIC artist in August!
On July 22, it was announced that GOT7's leader, Jay B, will make a comeback next month with a mini-album. This EP will be his first work in three months since his first single "Switch It Up."
GOT7 Jay B Solo Album Set for Release in August
GOT7 Jay B solo album will contain a total of seven songs, including "Switch It Up" featuring sokodomo and produced by Cha Cha Malone.
In the mini-album, Jay B will challenge himself on diverse music, and the songs will feature artists from different genres. Through this work, he will showcase a new image as a solo artist as opposed to what he is as a GOT7 member.

GOT7 Jay B's album will be available in both digital and physical versions. The "Switch It Up" singer is preparing a range of online events and album promotions for his domestic and international fans.
H1GHR MUSIC said that with the release of his first mini-album, GOT7 member Jay B plans to display his unique musicality through performances and content based on R&B sound.
Jay B has proven himself as one of the top male soloists with his first single, "Switch It Up," which performed well not only on domestic music charts but also international charts.
After debuting on iTunes charts around the world, GOT7 Jay B's "Switch It Up" made its way to two different Billboard charts for the week ending on May 29.

Jay B's "Switch It Up" ranked sixth on the R&B Digital Song Sales chart and eighteenth on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales chart.
Notably, GOT7 Jay B is the first Korean soloist in history to enter Billboard's R&B Digital Song Sales chart, and the third artist to land on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales chart!
Because of this historic record, expectations of the idol's comeback are increasing.
Meanwhile, GOT7 Jay B solo album will be released on Aug. 26. He is the third member of the group to drop an album, following BamBam and Yugyeom.
GOT7 Old Albums Re-Enter Gaon Album Chart
On July 19, Gaon Chart released the rankings of songs and albums for the week ending on July 17.
On the Gaon Weekly Album Chart, several GOT7 albums occupied spots within the Top 40 for the first time after a long time.
In particular, the 2014 album "Identify" took the No. 11 spot on the Gaon Album Chart, while the 2015 album claimed the No. 14 spot.

GOT7's 2015 album "Just Right" ranked No. 16, and the 2018 albums "Present: You" and "Eyes on You" placed No. 28, and No. 33, respectively.
GOT7 old albums were recently re-stocked and fans did not waste time purchasing them. In 11 days, more than 8,000 copies of the old albums were recorded on the Hanteo Chart.
GOT7 is yet to release their first album since leaving JYP Entertainment. Previously, Jay B revealed in an interview with a magazine that the group plans to release one album per year.
