The 2024 MAMA Awards were finally held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles for the first time. The much-awaited event also invited many K-pop fans to witness their favorite K-pop artists get rewarded for their impact this 2024.
On November 21, the first day of the 2024 MAMA Awards started with its red carpet event, where numerous K-pop acts graced with their fashion and visuals. The stars were also led by Eric Nam, who took on the role as the segment's MC.
During the main event, actor Park Bo Gum captivated everyone with his presence and hosting skills. The program also snuck in energetic performances from YOUNG POSSE, KATSEYE, and other K-pop acts present in the awards show.
This year, TWS entered the K-pop scene and gradually rose to the top with their releases, gaining them the award for Best New Male Artist. The boy group has also won the trophy for Best Dance Performance.
ILLIT has also given fans their iconic debut song "Magnetic," which gained global recognition and earned them the Best New Female Artist award. Meanwhile, RIIZE claimed the award for Global Performer due to their amazing stages and popularity worldwide.
As a reward for his extraordinary contribution to the K-pop industry and longevity as a soloist, J.Y. Park bagged the Inspiring Achievement award.
