BTS, aespa, and More: Korean Singers Brand Reputation Rankings for July 2021 Revealed

On Saturday, July 24, the Korean Brand Research Institute released their brand reputation rankings for Korean singers for the month of July.

What are the Brand Reputation Rankings?

The brand reputation ranking makes use of big brand data to create an index. This is done to study the online habits of consumers and discover out what affects brand consumption.

The brand reputation index also measures the influence of a Korean singer, the volume of media interest in the Korean singer, the volume of interest the consumer has for the Korean singer, and the communication volume of the Korean singer.

From June 24 to July 24, The Korean Brand Research Institute analyzed 145,185,245 pieces of big data to determine the Korean singers' participation index, media index, communication index, and community index.

Compared to the 127,167,251 pieces of big data in June 2021, the number increased by 14.17%.

BTS is the Most Popular Korean Singers for July 2021

Taking the throne is BTS (RM, Suga, Jin, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook), with a brand reputation index of 13,919,443. BTS has a participation index of 3,418,867, a media index of 3,140,487, a community index of 4,041,691, and a communication index of 3,318,399.

Compared to their brand reputation, index of 12,939,675 in June, their index rose by 7.57%.

Lim Young Woong is the Most Popular Male Soloist for July 2021

Ranking in second place is trot singer Lim Young Woong with a brand reputation index of 13,494,632. In addition, Lim Young Woong has a participation index of 3,549,962, a media index of 3,287,185, a community index of 3,341,478, and a communication index of 3,318,006.

Compared to his brand reputation index of 11,626,270 in June, his index rose by 16.09%.

Third place goes to the rookie girl group aespa (Karina, Winter, Giselle, and Ningning) with a brand reputation index of 6,373,217. aespa has a participation index of 1,652,020, a media index of 1,301,188, a community index of 1,904,005, and a communication index of 1,516,006.

Compared to their brand reputation index of 7,875,755 in June, their index fell by 19.08%.

Brave Girls (Minyoung, Yujeong, Eunji, and Yuna) ranked fourth place this month with a brand reputation index of 5,977,527. Brave Girls has a participation index of 1,265,569, a media index of 1,067,085, a community index of 1,562,774, and a communication index of 2,082,099.

Compared to their brand reputation index of 6,279,514 in June, their index fell by 4.81%.

Lee Chan Won is the Second Most Popular Male Soloist for July 2021

Wrapping up the top five is trot singer Lee Chan Won, with a brand reputation index of 5,675,182. Lee Chan Won has a participation index of 2,058,975, a media index of 1,261,406, a community index of 1,189,821, and a communication index of 1,164,980.

Compared to his brand reputation index of 6,210,965 in June, his index fell by 8.63%.
