There is a girl group member praised by J.Y. Park, the founder of JYP Entertainment, thanks to her stunning visuals. Who is she? Why she is none other than NiziU member Ayaka!

Ayaka, born in 2003, is a member of NiziU, the Japanese girl group formed through the survival program "Nizi Project."

Upon her introduction to the show, Ayaka was given the nickname "Japanese Suzy" by fans. Her refreshing visuals made both male and female fans hearts' flutter, and the Japanese public praised her harmonious feature and tall stature.

At the beginning of her time on the show, Ayaka was often criticized for her lack of dancing and singing skills. Despite that, J.Y. Park chosen Ayaka as a member of NiziU, saying that she reminds him of Suzy before she made her debut with Miss A.

He commented that she still needs to better her skills but that he sees potential in her. Who is NiziU?

NiziU is a Japanese girl group formed by South Korean company JYP Entertainment in partnership with Sony Music Entertainment Japan. The group is composed of members Mako, Rio, Maya, Riku, Ayaka, Mayuka, Rima, Miihi, and Nina. They debuted on December 2, 2020, with the single "Step and a Step."

The group's most recent release is "Take a Picture," a single dropped on March 29, 2021, in collaboration with Coca-Cola. The said song was used to promote the soda brand. "Take a Picture" made headlines for receiving over 12.5 million streams in its first week, setting an all-time record on the weekly Oricon Streaming Chart.
