Japanese Media States ENHYPEN is a Group Expected to Become Popular in the Future - This is Why

ENHYPEN (Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, and Ni-ki) have officially made their debut in Japan with the single album "Border: Hakanai." Upon release, the single album sold more than 150,000 copies, ranking first on the Oricon Daily Singles Chart. In addition, "Border: Hakanai" also swept all the top sports on Japan's weekly music charts, proving ENHYPEN's hot popularity in Japan.

Japanese media outlet Real Sound reported that ENHYPEN recorded the second-highest first-week sales in terms of single albums released by foreign male artists. Furthermore, they claim that ENHYPEN's popularity will continue to grow in the future as they perform in major Japanese music programs, such as TV Asahi's "Music Station" and Fuji TV's "2021 FNS Song Festival Summer."

Billboard Japan described ENHYPEN as a rookie group that is expected to succeed in the future. The group already has an excellent reputation, thanks to their outstanding visuals and lively performances. It was also noted that their first mini-album hit number eighteen on the Billboard 200, proving their sizeable international fan base.

ENHYPEN Jungwon and Ni-ki Send Messages to Their Japanese Fans

In an interview with Nikkan Sports, members Jungwon and Ni-ki revealed their thoughts about their Japan debut and a message to their Japanese ENGENEs (fan club name). During the interview, the two expressed their delight in being able to debut in Japan and how thankful they were for the positive feedback they received after appearing on a Japanese program. They said performing on the said program really made it feel like they debuted in the country.
