The tension between dancers and idols in the latest video teaser for "Street Woman Fighter" attracted attention. In the preview clip, former IZ*ONE Chaeyeon was seen crying after being looked down on by a dancer, while another junior dancer cut off BoA while she's giving her comments.
On August 2, Mnet's "Street Woman Fighter" released a trailer, titled: "A rough war of nerves in the first meeting of idols?" on its official YouTube channel.
In the video clip which runs for about two and a half minutes, a huge tension between dancers vs. dancers, and idols vs. dancers were showed – setting a rough headstart on one anoother.
Former IZ*ONE Chaeyeon Cries in Preview for 'Street Woman Fighter': 'Idols can dance, too.'
The newly released teaser gained amassed various responses from K-pop enthusiasts. Aside from the show being hosted by Kang Daniel, judged by BoA along with NCT Taeyong, former IZ*ONE Lee Chaeyeon also appeared as a contestant.
In the teaser, a dancer said, "Idols are coming out? Idols and dancers are different. The intention of practicing dancing is different."
A scene including Chaeyeon then followed, which appeared to be a response to the dancer's claim, saying, "Idols can dance, too."
As the negative voices of dancers were being shown, the K-pop idol worried fans as she was seen crying, and said, "I can't dance anymore."
In response, K-pop fans' interest on the show skyrocketed and focused on how Chaeyeon will break the stigma against idols by flaunting her impressive skills and charisma.
Lee Chaeyeon, who will compete in the show, is a former IZ*ONE member and main dancer, and who's also known for her nickname "Feather Chaeyeon" for her naturally light and effortless dancing skills.

BoA Gets Cut Off By a Junior Dancer, Gaining Mixed Reactions from Viewers
In addition to the tension between contestants, there is also a rising conflict between the judge and other dancers.
In the preview, BoA was giving her comments to the dancers when someone cut off what she was saying.
When the dancer said, "I'm sorry but I have to cut off what you are saying," BoA pleaded to let her finish what she is saying first. However, the dancer persisted and said, "I'll just say one thing, Ms. Boa, I'm sorry."
On the other hand, Mnet's "Street Woman Fighter" is a reality survival show to find Korea's best street dance crew, hosted by Kang Daniel, starring BoA and NCT Taeyong as judges. The first episode will air on August 24.
