Like every K-Pop idol, Min also experienced and underwent training for a long period of time, and said that she was a trainee at JYP Entertainment for a total of eight years after being able to join the label by getting first place at Lotte World when she was around 12 years old. Since then, she had dedicated her youth and career to the label.

They also mentioned about Min being brought to the New York and Los Angeles in the United States for her training, and because of that, she was able to learn English and become good at it.

However, Min also revealed that she had experienced some difficulties during her trainee years, which led her to be kicked out of JYP Entertainment on multiple occasions.

"I got kicked out a lot at JYP because I was not losing weight," said Min on why she was kicked out.

JYP Entertainment told her that they would send her back to Korea as she failed to lose weight. She was also given a chance to return to her training if she lost weight.

"So I had to come back to Korea and lose weight, and go back... like a few times," said Min.

On what motivated Min to change, she explained that while she was in New York, the people around her were making their debut already, like 2PM and Wonder Girls. She also saw the groups becoming successful after their debut.

Min made the decision to just leave JYP Entertainment instead to do other things. "I was young so I gave up," said Min. She eventually went back to Korea and prepared to go back to New York to become a dancer instead.

However, after some time, Min realized that she still wanted to become a K-Pop idol, so she directly met up with JYP Entertainment's founder, Park Jin Young, and asked for a second chance.

Park Jin Young gave Min another chance, but she had to lose weight. "I lost mad weight. I was like... 40, 45 to 46 kilograms," said Min.

The label also told Min that they are preparing to debut a new group called Miss A, and thought she could fit right in.

In the end, Min concluded that she got kicked out of JYP Entertainment a total of three times in a span of 10 years due to her weight. With her efforts, Min was able to debut as the main dancer of Miss A in 2010, alongside Jia, Fei, and Suzy.
