TWICE has achieved a notable milestone on Billboard Japan Streaming Chart as the first K-pop girl group to do so.
On Aug. 4, Billboard Japan unveiled the songs that have reached 100 million streams, and one of those is a hit song by TWICE.
TWICE is the First K-pop Girl Group to Obtain This Feat on Billboard Japan Streaming Chart
According to the latest Billboard Japan Streaming Chart, one of the tracks that recently hit 100 million streams in Japan is TWICE's "FANCY."
Released in April 2019, TWICE's "FANCY" debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Japan chart on May 1 of the same year. It has since stayed inside the Top 200 on the tally for 119 weeks in a row.
"FANCY" is now TWICE's second song to attain 100 million streams on Billboard Japan Streaming Chart, following "Feel Special," released in September 2019.
Considering this, TWICE has become the first K-pop girl group to have two songs reaching 100 million streams in Japan.

The nonet is also just the second K-pop group and the second foreign act in history, following BTS, to have multiple songs with 100 million streams on Billboard Japan Streaming Chart.
BTS already has four songs to hit the 100-million mark: "Dynamite," "Stay Gold," "Boy With Luv," and "Butter."
And, the only other foreign artist with songs having 100 million streams in Japan are Ed Sheeran ("Shape of You") and Billie Eilish ("Bad Guy").

TWICE has also achieved another milestone on Billboard Japan Artist 100.
On the Billboard Japan Artist 100, dated Aug. 9, the JYP girl group climbed 14 spots to get to No. 3, marking their 36th week on the chart.

Number 3 is now TWICE's highest peak on Japan Artist 100 to date. As they reach a new peak on the chart, they remain the highest-ranking K-pop girl group.
Moreover, they are now the third highest-peaking Korean act on Billboard Japan Artist 100, surpassing NCT 127, who scored No. 4.
Meanwhile, TWICE's new Japanese album "Perfect World" has debuted on various Billboard Japan charts.
On Billboard Japan Download Albums, dated Aug. 4, TWICE's "Perfect World" entered the Top 5, claiming the No. 3 spot.
"Perfect World" is one of the only two K-pop albums inside the Top 10 on the Billboard Japan chart, with the other one being "Empathy" by EXO D.O. at No. 2.

TWICE's "Perfect World" also made it to the Billboard Japan Hot Albums, dated Aug. 4. It succeeded in securing the No. 1 position.
Over on Spotify, the album's title track, also called "Perfect World," becomes TWICE's fastest Japanese song to cross 10 million streams.
TWICE's "Perfect World" hit the 10-million mark on Spotify in only 31 days, beating the record of 42 days set by their previous release "Kura Kura."
