BTOB 4U Set to Make Their First Comeback since 'Kingdom' This August

BTOB 4U's comeback this August has been confirmed!

On Aug. 6, reports were stating that BTOB's first sub-unit will return this month. The group's agency, CUBE Entertainment, has since responded to the reports.

BTOB 4U's Comeback Confirmed to Be This August

According to a representative from CUBE Entertainment, BTOB 4U will be making a comeback in late August, although they didn't specify the exact date.

BTOB's company added that the sub-unit has finished their jacket shooting for their upcoming release.

Notably, this will be BTOB 4U's first-ever comeback since their debut as a sub-unit and since their participation in Mnet's "Kingdom."

BTOB 4U - consisting of members Peniel, Eunkwang, Changsub, and Minhyuk - took part as one of the competing groups in Mnet's boy group competition show "Kingdom: Legendary War," which aired from April to June this year.

BTOB members Hyunsik and Sungjae were unable to participate in Mnet's "Kingdom" due to their ongoing military service. These two idols are scheduled to be discharged on Nov. 14.

Throughout Mnet's "Kingdom," BTOB 4U impressed the viewers and fans with their high-quality live performances, showcasing their signature emotional delivery of songs and high notes.

While the news about BTOB 4U's comeback this August excites fans, many are concerned whether member Minhyuk, who just recently recovered from COVID-19, would be able to perform group activities smoothly.

BTOB 4U Debuts with First Mini-Album "INSIDE"

BTOB's first sub-unit, called BTOB 4U, made their debut in November 2020 with their first mini-album, entitled "INSIDE."

The unit was formed after the military discharge of members Changsub and Minhyuk in August and September 2020, respectively.

BTOB 4U's "INSIDE" comprises a total of five songs, one of which is the title track, "Show Your Love." In this album, all four members heavily participated in the production, specifically writing and/or composing the songs.

"Show Your Love," on the contrary, was written by member Hyunsik before his military enlistment. This moombahton dance song encourages people to show love even through tough times.

At the time of its release, BTOB 4U's "INSIDE" swept the top of iTunes Album charts in 14 countries, including Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, and the Philippines.

"INSIDE" also entered the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart, securing the No. 6 position.

The title track, "Show Your Love," quickly debuted on several Korean music charts after its release. It entered at No. 2 on Bugs, No. 4 on Genie, and No. 9 on MelOn.

On the first day of sales, BTOB 4U's "INSIDE" sold a total of 15,511 copies on the Hanteo Chart. It went on to sell over 30,000 more copies in the next six days until it reached 51,891 copies in the first week.

Over on the Gaon Weekly Album Chart, "INSIDE" debuted at No. 3 for the week of Nov. 15 to 21. It also entered the retail album chart in the same week, taking the No. 4 spot with 19,269 copies.
