Soyou Diet and Workout Routine 2021: How Did the Former SISTAR Member Achieve Her Sexy Figure?

"Summer Queen" and former SISTAR member, Soyou had been making waves throughout the years for her sexy and healthy figure. In fact, she is often looked up to for fitness inspiration among those who want to transition to a more healthy lifestyle.

So how did Soyou get her sexy figure? Here's what we know about Soyou's diet and workout routine!

Soyou's Workout Routine Revealed

Earlier this year, Soyou revealed that she had gained around 5kg due to the pandemic and not having much work and recorded her heaviest weight at 62.4kg.

Although Soyou shares that her weight gain had health benefits for her, such as being able to sleep better, and her hips and chest becoming fuller, she also notes that she has become more lethargic and her clothes were starting to not fit. She then began going on a diet to lose 10kg.

For Soyou's workout routine this time around, she says that she did a combination of weight training and yoga. According to Soyou, she does yoga two to three times a week and does weight training at least fives time a week, which is similar to what she normally did before the pandemic.

In order to burn off fat, Soyou also does cardio, such as walking, running, and jogging. While her weight training builds her muscles.

Soyou also tries to avoid working out at night, as someone had told her it wasn't good to exercise at night and because her heart heats up easily.

It is also worth noting that before the start of the pandemic, Soyou lived an active lifestyle. She can often be seen participating in several sports activities, such as wakeboarding and surfing, among many others.

Additionally, Soyou also does dance practices for when she needs to from time to time.

Soyou's Diet Routine Revealed

Of course, the key to losing weight is also in one's diet.

Back then, Soyou had a diet that is similar to other K-Pop idols', such as eating boiled eggs, chicken breasts, sweet potatoes, and fruits and vegetables.

Her previous diet plan consists of eating one boiled potato for breakfast, three boiled eggs and one slice of bread for lunch, and three rolls of kimbab for dinner. This diet plan allowed her to lose 15kg in just three months.

Her most drastic diet plan, which allowed her to lose 8kg in just a month, was eating only four quail eggs and a glass of milk a day. Take note: This is not a sustainable diet, especially when accompanied with exercises.

For Soyou's diet plan this time around, she recommends everyone to have a plan when it comes to dieting.

According to Soyou, reducing your diet too much will result in you eating too much, otherwise known as "binge eating."

Soyou says to eat three meals a day, and if you don't like eating breakfast, you can replace it with protein or salads, and it eat outside of your regular meals.

For breakfast or lunch, Soyou eats her regular meal, while the remaining two meals will be either a salad or protein. But the key point of her diet would be eating half of her normal serving.

She also recommends to eat rice with "half air" or replace it with konjac or brown rice during regular meals, but not too much of it.
