K-Pop Radar stated on August 18 that Taeyeon's "Weekend" music video exceeded 5 million views in just 69 hours after it was released. Then in the next 350 hours, it exceeded 10 million views.
Taeyeon has been chosen as K-Pop Radar's 'Artist of the Month.'
Taeyeon, who proved before that she deserves the title, was chosen once again as the Artist of the Month. K-Pop radar mentioned that it took around 113 days for the music video of "What Do I Call You?," which was released in December 2020, to reach 10 million views. However, "Weekend" achieved 10 million views in only 350 hours. Making it 7.8 times faster than the previous song.
K-Pop Radar also elaborated the result of analyzing the total number of YouTube views that Taeyeon received in the first month after the release of "Weekend," it has been counted to a total of 54 million views. The most popular countries were Korea, followed by Thailand, Indonesia, India, and the Philippines. This only explains that the music video's worldwide popularity in Southeast Asia is still ongoing.
Aside from the music video, the SNS fandom index also recorded remarkable growth. Taeyeon's personal Instagram followers increased by more than 280,000 followers in just one month, surpassing the already increasing number of 16.72 million. Her followers on Spotify also increased by 59,639, reaching almost 2 million followers. This shows Taeyeon's growth in popularity even after 15 years since her debut as an artist.

Taeyeon receives love and support
The factors of Taeyeon's rise in popularity have also been analyzed intensively as K-Pop Radar picked her as the "Artist of the Month."
According to a survey made through "Blip," an app service made for K-Pop fandoms, the fans selected the Music Core stage last July 10 for the Best Music Broadcast. It took first place with a score of 33.9% of support. Moreover, Taeyeon's popular keywords are included in the titles of her songs "Weekend" and "No."
A few years back, Taeyeon confessed that she is going into depression. She revealed her condition through her Instagram stories and responded to those who were looking down on people who are also suffering the same condition.
Since then, fans have been sending all of their support and love for Taeyeon. She got their support when she openly talked about her depression. She hoped that others will be able to send their support not only to herself but also to others with depression.

K-Pop Radar's Platform
K-Pop Radar, on the other hand, is a music start-up that has introduced "Duckmate, Blip," a fan platform that receives hot responses from every K-Pop fandom for the music industry. It is an open service for free.
Now, the number of real-time music video views from 641 domestic teams, YouTube subscribers, Twitter, and Instagram followers, are provided in the form of a website. It is called the "K-Pop World Map," which is released every year, and it always creates a hot topic.
Last year, particularly, it signed an official partnership agreement with Twitter and announced the 10-year growth graph and K-Pop's current status.
