Chaeyeon, the former main dancer of IZ*ONE, was selected as the "weakest" dancer among professional idols in her crew. On top of this, the K-pop idol also received six "no respect" stickers — just because of this reason.
On August 17, Mnet's "Street Woman Fighter" dropped a pre-release video ahead of its first broadcast, raising expectations from viewers.
Although the show is comprised of professional dancers in the entertainment industry, K-pop fans are highly anticipating the show because of Lee Chaeyeon, a popular idol who is considered a top-notch dancer among K-pop idols.
However, the pre-broadcast video of the show gained attention due to how professional dancers are treating the former IZ*ONE member for the sole reason that she's an idol.
Former IZ*ONE Chaeyeon Selected as the 'Weakest' and the 'Underdog' Among Participants in 'Street Woman Fighter'
The video showed each crew meeting before the full-fledged competition. As the broadcast went on, the first mission was given to each crew, and it is to point the person who is expected to be the "underdog" and put on a " No Respect" sticker to that person.
Lee Chaeyeon, who heard the mission, said, "I think I'll be pointed out a lot."
Later, Lee Chaeyeon's "WANT" crew came to the set, and Lee Chaeyeon received attention from other participants for having six "No Respect" stickers.
Several of the comments were in shock after seeing an idol in the crew, and a dancer even commented, "She wasn't in the dancing scene yet, but I think she'd be the weakest in the group?"
Other dancers in the also expressed mixed reactions after seeing Chaeyeon such as, "formation of an idol and dancers have a little bit of difference," "But she is really shining," "I won't get edited out if I stick to a celebrity (Chaeyeon)," and more.

Lee Chaeyeon Attested that Idols Can Be Good Dancers As Well, Receives Cheering Messages from Her Crew
Chaeyeon, who seemed to lose her confidence, was then cheered by her teammates. In the video, WANT Crew defended Chaeyeon after receiving six and most "No Respect" stickers among participants.
One dancer named Emma shouted, "Have you practiced with Chaeyeon? If not, you don't have the right to give her something like this (no respect sticker)!"
In the room where they are waiting for the result, Lee Chaeyeon, who was still putting stickers on, confessed that she had received more stickers than expected, saying, "I expected about two to three people."
The K-pop idol then said it would be nice if there were dancers with more stickers than she did, but immediately added, "But I don't think there will be. Aren't these making it obvious that you I am an idol?" and quickly became confident.
Keeping her cool, Chaeyeon then boasted to the camera, "No respect because I am an idol."
As a response, there are several K-pop enthusiasts expressed their frustrations over the professional dancers "ridiculing" Chaeyeon's talent just because she's an idol.
Due to this, Mnet's "Street Woman Fighter" is gaining more attention if how Chaeyeon, who has been pointed out as a weakling among participants, will be able to reverse the evaluation — which can be all seen in its premiere on August 24.
