The third week of August saw more new K-pop songs of various genres, be it EDM, pop dance track, ballad, and more. In case you missed some of them, here's a recap of all the releases this week.
Here are the New K-pop Songs Released This August That You Might Have Missed:
1. ENHYPEN X TAYO "BILLY POCO"
On Aug. 11, ENHYPEN released a new collaboration song with "Little Bus Tayo," titled "BILLY POCO."
"Little Bus Tayo" is a well-known children's animation show about the adventures of the city bus "Tayo" and his car friends.
The rookie boy group previously sang a new version of "Hey Tayo," the theme song of the TV program.
2. Park Jihoon "Gallery"
Former WANNA ONE member Park Jihoon made his comeback on Aug. 12 with a new mini-album, titled "My Collection," which features the title song "Gallery."
Jihoon's "Gallery" is an EDM-based pop song containing bright synth sounds and a rhythmical guitar loop. This track is centered on one's imagination of being part of a gallery of someone special to you.

3. BZ-BOYS "Close Your Eyes"
BZ-BOYS also returned with new music on Aug. 12. The five-member boy group from Chrome Entertainment released their second single album "CONTRAST," which contains the title track "Close Your Eyes."
"CONTRAST" marks BZ-BOYS first single album in almost two years since their single album "BLUE."
4. MAKAMAKA "Hey U"
Rookie girl group MAKAMAKA made their first-ever comeback on Aug. 12 with their second single album "Hey U." The album's title track, also called "Hey U," is a remake of Chakra's song of the same name.
Super Junior Shindong participated in the group's comeback as the director of the music video for "Hey U."
5. Gaho "RIDE"
K-pop soloist Gaho also treated fans to new music on Aug. 12. He dropped a new song, entitled "RIDE."
"RIDE" is Gaho's fourth release this 2021, following his other digital singles: "Home," "Rush Hour," and "Officially Missing You."

6. JMIN "Dedication" (featuring Jay Park)
JMIN, who made his debut under H1GHR MUSIC early this August, is back with his first-ever extended play, "HOMECOMING" on Aug. 13. This EP consists of seven songs including the title track "Dedication" which features Jay Park, the owner of H1GHR MUSIC.
JMIN is a Korean-American rapper who has been collaborating with domestic and foreign hip-hop artists including YUZION and CAMO.
7. Red Velvet "Queendom"
"Summer Queens" Red Velvet made their highly-anticipated group comeback on Aug. 16 with their sixth mini-album "Queendom," which features the title track of the same name.
Red Velvet's "Queendom" is a refreshing pop dance song with a catchy hook that is enhanced by the members' bright vocals. The lyrics of the track convey the message that we reign as "queens" of our own lives and that we shine brighter when we come together.
8. TXT "LO$ER=LOVER"
On Aug. 17, TXT returned with their best-selling repackaged album "The Chaos Chapter: FIGHT OR ESCAPE," which contains the title song "LO$ER=LOVER."
TXT's "LO$ER=LOVER" has an addicting melody and expresses the feelings of a boy who wants to be a "lover" to someone special to him, even though he appears like a "loser" to other people.

9. WayV Ten & YANGYANG "Low Low"
A new song by WayV was also dropped on Aug. 17, particularly, a unit track by members Ten and YANGYANG, titled "Low Low."
"Low Low" marks the debut of WayV's second sub-unit, TEN & YANGYANG. This single comes as the group's latest unit release following "Back to You," the debut song by Kun and Xiaojun (the band's first sub-unit) last June.
10. PENTAGON "Cerberus"
On Aug. 18, PENTAGON became another K-pop boy group to debut a new sub-unit, which consists of Wooseok, Kino, and Yuto. The trio released the single "Cerberus" which contains lyrics penned by the three members, who also co-composed it.
"Cerberus" by PENTAGON Yuto, Wooseok, and Kino compare the three members, who are the youngest of the boy group, to Cerberus, the three-headed dog that guards the entrance to hell, Hades's home in Greek and Roman mythology.
