NCT Lucas has released a personal statement regarding his recent dating scandal, in which three alleged victims spoke up to accuse him of gaslighting and cheating on them.
On Aug. 23, Lucas was caught up in a dating controversy when a Twitter user (@oooshiiim), created a lengthy thread that narrated her alleged past relationship with the male idol and accused him of gaslighting her.
After that, two more different girls stepped up to make the same allegations against NCT member Lucas. One of them is a Chinese netizen, while the other one is unknown.

All these three alleged victims of NCT Lucas shared screenshots of their conversations with him on WeChat. Their photos showed the same WeChat ID of the idol's claimed account. All three of them are said to be fans of the singer/group.
NCT Lucas Apologizes for His Gaslighting Dating Scandal, to Cease All Scheduled Activities
On Aug. 25, NCT member Lucas posted a long text in Chinese and Korean on his personal Instagram account to respond to his dating scandal.
In the post, Lucas apologized not only to the fans but also to those who were hurt by his wrong actions in the past. He said that if he is given the opportunity, he would like to apologize to them in person.

The "Kick Back" singer continued that he is deeply reflecting on himself for the mistakes and irresponsible behavior that have caused disappointment to the fans.
NCT Lucas also guaranteed that this incident won't happen again. He then announced that he will be halting his activities for a while so that he can reflect more on his past actions.

"This is Lucas. I sincerely apologize to those who have been hurt by my wrong actions. If given a chance, I would like to apologize in person. Also, I genuinely apologize to the fans who have always been giving me support and caring for me. Sorry for upsetting you.
Looking at the situation in the last few days, I was able to look back on my past actions and deeply reflected on myself. I started to realize that my mistakes and irresponsible acts have let my fans, who always cheer me on and supported me, down.
Once again, I would like to apologize to everyone who has been disappointed by my actions. I will make sure that this will never happen again, and will stop all my scheduled activities and take the time to reflect on my past actions.
Lastly, I would like to apologize for causing concern to my members, company staff, business partners, and TV show staff. I'm so sorry."
SM Entertainment Addresses NCT Lucas' Dating Scandal
At the same time, SM Entertainment has released an official statement regarding NCT member Lucas' dating controversy. The company first apologized for worrying everyone concerning the personal matter of NCT Lucas.

SM Entertainment added that the idol has acknowledged the seriousness of the issue and decided to halt the release of all content involving him including the release of "Jalapeño," his upcoming unit single with fellow WayV member Hendery that was supposed to be drop at 6 p.m. KST today, Aug. 25.
The agency also mentioned NCT Lucas is deeply reflecting on causing disappointment and pain through his wrong actions, and that they will take responsibility for not having managed their artist better.
