MAMAMOO is reported to be making another comeback this coming September with a new album, which will be a "Best Album."
On Aug. 27, the Korean news outlet SPOTV News reported that MAMAMOO would return to the music scene next month with a new album that will represent the girl group's career in the past seven years.
MAMAMOO's "Best Album" will come after their eleventh EP "WAW," which was released this past June.
MAMAMOO's Comeback Reportedly to Happen in September with a "Best Album"
According to SPOTV News, MAMAMOO will release the "Best Album" in September. This new album is said to compile the songs the girl group released in the past seven years since their debut in 2014.
MAMAMOO's "Best Album" is said to contain not only the girl group's hit songs but also two unreleased tracks.
The media outlet added that the MAMAMOO members carefully selected the tracks that they will include in their upcoming album and that they put a lot of effort into working on the two new songs.

MAMAMOO's new album would be their second release since the members' contract renewal this past June, following "WAW."
Solar, Moonbyul, and Hwasa renewed their exclusive contracts with their management agency, RBW, while Wheein decided not to renew her contract.
In the case of MAMAMOO Wheein, she is still in talks to join VIXX Ravi's new label, THE L1VE, and there's a high possibility that she will eventually be an artist of the company.
Meanwhile, RBW is yet to respond to the report about MAMAMOO's comeback in September.

MAMAMOO Celebrates 7th Debut Anniversary with "WAW" Project
Meanwhile, MAMAMOO commemorated the seventh anniversary of their debut on June 18 through their "WAW" project, which is composed of a new album release, a summer concert, and a documentary.
Regarding MAMAMOO's new album release, the girl group dropped their eleventh EP, "WAW," which consists of songs that are all ballad. This is their first time to have such an album.

"WAW," which features the lead single "Where Are We Now," ranked first on iTunes Album charts in 21 countries across the globe, including Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Turkey, Brazil, the Philippines, and more.
According to Hanteo Chart, almost 40,000 domestic copies of the album were sold on the first day. MAMAMOO's "WAW" then recorded over 65,000 copies in its first-week sales.
On the Gaon Album Chart, "WAW" placed sixth in the monthly rankings after selling 130,680 copies in June 2021.

Meanwhile, MAMAMOO's summer concert, called "2021 MAMAMOO ONLINE CONCERT 'WAW'" is scheduled to take place on Saturday, Aug. 28.
The concert will be held online and in support of the group's latest release "WAW." It will be their first virtual show in three months since their LIVENOW's K-pop series gig.
MAMAMOO's online concert will begin at 7 p.m. KST and will air via Seezn and olleh tv in South Korea and KAVECON for overseas audiences.
Finally, the girl group's documentary is constantly in production and will be released soon. The band previously teased their documentary film through Naver V Live.
