Fans Discover BLACKPINK's 'Formula' in Naming Their Solo Songs
On August 30, KST, BLACKPINK's Lisa, announced the title of her highly-anticipated single album, "LALISA," which is the birth name of the Thai K-Pop idol.
Following the confirmation of Lisa's solo debut date on September 10 KST, BLACKPINK fans - collectively known as BLINK - have taken to their social media to share their anticipation and excitement for her solo debut.
Amidst the excitement of what can already be deemed as one of the best albums of the year, fans have discovered what seems to be a "formula" of BLACKPINK when it comes to naming their solo songs.

Back in 2018, Jennie released her solo debut song called "SOLO." While earlier this year, in March, Rosé released hers called "On the Ground." Fans have discovered that when you place their song titles vertically and in the order of their solo debuts and look at the titles' first letters, you would come up with "SOL," including Lisa's "LALISA."
Fans have begun thinking that this may pertain to the word "SOLO," with each of the BLACKPINK members taking up a letter of the word. With that, fans are theorizing that Jisoo's solo debut song's title will begin with the letter "O" to complete the "formula."

Although the "formula" may just be a coincidence, that doesn't stop fans from guessing the potential title of Jisoo's solo debut song. Many have commented in their guesses, such as a simple "OK" to keep up with YG Entertainment's tradition of short titles, "One More Time," and some have even joked that it will be "On the Sky" as Rosé's is "On the Ground."
Meanwhile, Lisa is the third member of BLACKPINK, currently preparing to make her solo debut. In regards to Jisoo's solo debut, no announcements or hints have been made yet, as she is focusing on her upcoming drama, "Snowdrop," which will air in the latter half of 2021.

As of August 30 KST, Lisa's solo debut album, "LALISA," has surpassed 200,000 pre-order copies on Ktown4U, just four days after the pre-orders for the album began.
In fact, Lisa became the fastest female K-Pop artist to do so in the history of Ktown4U, after she had surpassed 100,000 album pre-orders back on August 27 and in just a span of 27 hours. Likewise, Lisa is also the fastest female K-Pop artist to surpass the 50,000, 60,000, 80,000, and 90,000 album pre-orders on the site.
In addition, just 24 hours after pre-orders started on Ktown4U, Lisa is the first and only female artist to surpass 96,000 album pre-orders while also breaking the record in just 16 hours for the most sold album in the first 24 hours of pre-order by any K-Pop girl group or idol on the site.
