LOONA has achieved another No. 1 on the US iTunes Chart with their Japanese debut album "HULA HOOP/ StarSeed-Kakusei"!
On Sept. 15, LOONA officially made their Japanese debut under Universal Music Japan's subsidiary EMI Records. The girl group released their first album, which includes new songs "HULA HOOP," "StarSeed-Kakusei," and the Japanese version of "PTT (Paint The Town)."
The release of "HULA HOOP/ StarSeed-Kakusei" follows their fourth mini-album "&," which was dropped in June of this year.
LOONA Extends Their Record as the Girl Group with the Most No. 1 Albums on US iTunes Chart
After LOONA's Japanese debut album was digitally released at midnight JST, the album immediately climbed to the top of iTunes charts in numerous countries across the globe.

The first 10 countries where LOONA's "HULA HOOP/ StarSeed-Kakusei" ranked first on iTunes Album charts are Hong Kong, the Philippines, Spain, Vietnam, Brunei, Indonesia, Netherlands, Taiwan, Brazil, and Chile.
LOONA's Japanese debut album went on to rank first on iTunes Album charts in 13 more countries, including the United States.
As the album rises to the top of the US iTunes Chart, LOONA has extended their record as the girl group with the most No. 1 albums on the tally.
LOONA now has a total of six albums (both Korean and Japanese) that reached the No. 1 place on the US iTunes Chart.

Before "HULA HOOP/ StarSeed-Kakusei," the first five albums to top the US iTunes Album Chart are "+ +," "X X," "[#]," "[12:00]," and "[&]."
LOONA has also become the first female K-pop artist in history to have six different albums to place first on the US iTunes Chart.
As of 5 p.m. KST on Sept. 15, LOONA's Japanese debut album has reached No. 1 on iTunes Album charts in at least 24 countries and entered the Top 10 in another 15 regions.
On the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart, "HULA HOOP/ StarSeed-Kakusei" debuted at No. 2
Moreover, the title track "HULA HOOP" has debuted inside the Top 10 of seven countries.

LOONA Yves to Join the Dance Crew WANT for Their Next Mission on Mnet's Street Woman Fighter
In other news, LOONA member Yves was announced to appear on the upcoming episode of Mnet's first female dance crew survival show, "Street Woman Fighter," along with Weki Meki Yoojung and Lee Young Ji.
In particular, the three of them will participate in the upcoming performance of the dance crew WANT for the next mission of the competition.

LOONA Yves is known for her impressive dancing skills, hence, fans expressed their excitement to see her perform outside of the group.
On Sept. 14, Mnet already released a preview of the upcoming stages of WANT and HOOK dance crews. This is the first time that more K-pop idols will appear on the show.
The next episode of Mnet's "Street Woman Fighter" will be broadcast on Tuesday, Sept. 21. The show airs via Mnet and on its official YouTube channel. Clips and highlights, as well as the performances, will be uploaded to the channel after each episode.
