The star-studded lineup of performing artists for the 2021 K-pop World Festival has been unveiled, and it includes aespa, Stray Kids, and more! The platform where the event will be held was also announced. Keep on reading for full details!

Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, the "K-pop World Festival" is regarded as the largest Hallyu festival in the world where K-pop fans from across the globe compete with covers of different artists.

Apart from the stages of the participants, this annual K-pop festival also features performances by some of the hottest K-pop groups.

2021 K-pop World Festival Lineup: aespa, Stray Kids, and More to Perform

In this year's celebration, over 400 teams from more than 100 countries took part in the 2021 K-pop World Festival's preliminary rounds. In the end, only 10 teams were chosen to face off at the upcoming finale.

Unlike the previous shows that were held in Changwon, the 2021 K-pop festival will be held in a contact-free format to prevent the further spread of COVID-19 and to ensure the safety and health of both fans and artists.

For this year's event, the K-pop groups that will participate in the 2021 K-pop World Festival will be taking the virtual stage through performance videos filmed at some of the most gorgeous landmarks in South Korea.

Aside from the fact that it's the 10th anniversary of the K-pop festival, the lineup of performing artists makes the event much more anticipated.

The 2021 K-pop festival is set to take place on October 15, and it will be broadcast live on the official YouTube channel of KBS WORLD TV here.

aespa Drops Concept Clip for First Mini-Album Savage

In other news, aespa has revealed a new teaser for their upcoming mini-album, "Savage."

On Sept. 17, SM Entertainment's new girl group released a concept clip titled "P.O.S (Cave Ver.). The 25-second video shows a square-shaped figure with "aespa" written at the center.

"Savage" will be aespa's first mini-album since their debut in November 2020. According to SM Entertainment, the album will be composed of six songs of different genres, including the title track that is also named "Savage."

aespa's "Savage" is scheduled to drop on Oct. 5 and is already available for offline and online pre-orders until its official release date.

"Savage" will come after aespa's latest digital single "Next Level," which came out in May of this year.

"Next Level" has become a major hit for the rookie girl group. It is steadily ranking inside the Top 5 on Gaon's digital and streaming charts.

aespa's "Next Level" also consistently chart in the Top 3 of MelOn. On Sept. 13, it has become the longest-running girl group song inside the Top 3 of MelOn in history; it has already spent 13 weeks.
