On September 20, Korean media outlet Sports Seoul asked several foreign K-pop idols about their plans this Chuseok.
In particular, Chuseok, also known as Korean Thanksgiving, is a three-day national holiday celebrated by Koreans with their families to give gratitude to their ancestors for giving them abundant harvest in autumn.
But due to the pandemic or tight schedules, several non-Korean idols can't go to their hometown for a brief holiday. How will these idols spend their short break?
THE BOYZ Kevin, NCT Johnny, SEVENTEEN Joshua: Male Foreign Idols Share Their Chuseok Plans
Among them, THE BOYZ Kevin, a Canadian, said, "I may have a schedule during the holiday season, so I think I will finish the schedule if I have one," adding, "It's a pity that I can't meet my family because it's not easy to move to COVID-19, but since my parents are overseas, I think I'll say hello through video calls or phone calls and talk."
ONF U, who's Japanese, also shared that his Chuseok plans are to take a break by eating delicious food in his accommodation, contact his family, and watch dramas or movies that he wasn't able to watch due to activities.
T1419 J-line Zero, Kairi, Leo, and Kio revealed they want to celebrate Chuseok in Japan, but since they can't go, the members will celebrate it together in their dorm by watching movies and dramas, eating tasty food, play online, and rest.
On the other hand, non-Korean idols who have schedules this holiday have different plans, such as TREASURE Japanese members who said through YG Entertainment, "The members decided to make special memories."
In addition, the idols said, "As we are about to have a long-awaited private stage, we will gather again and start practicing as soon as the holiday is over."
NCT 127 Johnny, who just returned with the double-million-selling third full album Sticker, regrets not being able to visit Chicago. Nonetheless, he expressed his plans, saying, "I think I will have fun with the members while doing my schedule this Chuseok. I can't spend it with my family in Chicago, but I'm going to say hello through video calls."
Lastly, SEVENTEEN Joshua, an American, announced the group's upcoming comeback in October; thus, saying, "I think I will be with the members this Chuseok. SEVENTEEN's new album is scheduled to be released in October, so I will spend Chuseok working on the new album."

TWICE J-Line, Tzuyu, and BLACKPINK Lisa: Female Foreign Idols Share Their Chuseok Plans
For female idols, TWICE Japanese members Mina, Sana, and Momo, along with Tzuyu from Taiwan, responded to the question, saying, "We are going to eat a lot of delicious food and rest well during Chuseok."
The girls added, "I (we) will have a comfortable and good time with dogs."
BLACKPINK Lisa, who is currently promoting her solo debut album LALISA, explained that she would be busy even during holidays.
Although Lisa, a Thai national, cannot return to her hometown and spend time with her family, she will meet fans around the world through her music and online stages.
