The 2021 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs) has revealed another category and the nominees are some of the fourth-generation groups including aespa and STAYC.
aespa, STAYC and More Announced as Nominees for 2021 MTV EMAs
On Oct. 21, more nominees for particular categories for this year's MTV Europe Music Awards were announced.
One of the categories is the "Best Korean Act," and the K-pop groups nominated are aespa, STAYC, Weeekly, CRAVITY, and WEi.

All of the nominees are fourth-generation groups and have made several comebacks this year.
aespa returned several times to the music scene and their new releases include two songs "Forever" and "Next Level" and one mini-album "Savage."

STAYC also made at least two comebacks this year with their second single album "Staydom" in April and their first EP "Stereotype" in September.
Regarding Weeekly, the rookie girl group released two EPs, titled "We Play" and "Play Game: Holiday."
Finally, CRAVITY dropped their third EP "Season 3. Hideout: Be Our Voice" and the first full album "The Awakening: Written in the Stars" while WEi issued their second EP "Identity: Challenge" and third EP "Identity: Action."

Meanwhile, the K-pop artists who previously took home the Best Korean Act award are EXO (2013), B.A.P (2014 and 2016), BTS (2015), GFRIEND (2017), LOONA (2018), ATEEZ (2019), and Stray Kids (2020).
The 2021 MTV EMAs will be broadcast live on Nov. 14 at 3 p.m. ET, and voting for different categories will be open until Nov. 10 at 5:59 p.m. ET.

aespa 'Savage' Enters 10 Billboard Charts including Billboard 200 and Artist 100
For the week ending on Oct. 23, aespa landed on a total of 10 Billboard charts.
In particular, aespa's "Savage" ranked No. 20 on Billboard 200, the highest position among the debut albums by K-pop girl groups in history.
On another main Billboard chart, Artist 100, the rookie girl group also took the No. 20 place, becoming the quartet's first-ever entry. It is also marked the highest first entry rank for a K-pop girl group.
In addition to this, aespa's "Savage" also made it to the World Albums and Independent Albums charts, where it shot to No. 1.

"Savage" even debuted at No. 2 on both the Top Album Sales and Top Current Album Sales charts and placed No. 4 on the Tastemaker Album chart.
The album's title track, which is also called "Savage," entered several Billboard charts this week as well.
aespa's "Savage" claimed the No. 13 spot on World Digital Song Sales, the No. 24 spot on Billboard Global Excl. US and No. 39 on Billboard Global 200.
In South Korea, the title track has earned aespa four music show wins so far. The group's latest win was on SBS "Inkigayo" on Oct. 17. The candidates for first place were aespa's "Savage" and "Next Level" and AKMU's "NAKKA" (with IU).
In the end, aespa's "Savage" got a total of 10,699 points, securing first place.
