For K-pop idols, having a disciplined schedule of exercise and training is common. After all, they would have to perform on stage, especially during promotions of new songs or albums, so they are required to look good to the public.

As for Taeyong and his fellow NCT members whose dances often need body strength, they follow a series of training and exercises that improve their performances.

During a V Live broadcast in March of last year, Taeyong alongside Johnny and Yuta performed some exercises that can be done at home. They also did some stretching prior to that.

Some of the workouts they did were push-ups, weight-lifting, crunches, leg raises, the plank and more.

Aside from regular workouts, dancing is also part of NCT Taeyong's workout routine like most K-pop stars. He is expected to give great performances as he is the main dancer of the sub-unit NCT 127.

Taeyong and his fellow NCT members would spend hours practicing the choreography of their songs for upcoming music show appearances or events. After several hours of practicing intense choreography, they naturally burn thousands of calories.

During NCT's appearance on a radio broadcast, Taeyong was asked about the type of food he can eat for the rest of his life. He shared that he can't live without eating oatmeal. He added that he fell in love with oatmeal when he was still residing in the United States.

And, since NCT member Taeyong loves oatmeal so much, it was the first thing he bought as soon as he returned to Korea.

Oatmeal is a staple food that can be a great substitute for rice. Rich in fiber, oatmeal also contains vitamins, antioxidants, and minerals. Additionally, it has beneficial effects such as lowering cholesterol levels and blood sugar.

What's more, eating oatmeal can make a person feel full longer. And, people see a significant decrease in hunger and appetite compared to those who do not eat oatmeal.

There are several ways to eat oatmeal, either as porridge, cookies, bread, paired with yogurt or in smoothies.

Apart from oatmeal, NCT Taeyong also likes to consume other healthy foods like kongjaban (seasoned black soybeans), jangjorim (salty beef side dish), kimchi (a traditional side dish comprised fermented vegetables such as Korean radish and napa cabbage with seasonings), and kalguksu (a Korean noodle dish made of wheat flour noodles and served in a big bowl with broth).
