Red Velvet Yeri Exercise

The "Red Flavor" songstress is known as K-pop's pilates queen! The idol has been a fan of the workout since early 2020 and shows no signs of giving up the exercise. The idol revealed that pilates became a turning point of her life during her interview and photoshoot with Vogue.

She stated that when her pilates instructor first saw her, she looked down and depressed. When she started pilates, Yeri confessed that she was going through an emotionally difficult time and stated she thought exercise would be difficult. However, she soon saw exercise as something refreshing than tiring.

Yeri tries to go to pilates consistently and keeps up the habit. She stated that the biggest change was that her mind and body felt more stable. Yeri often shares videos and photos of her from her pilates class. She states it's to check her movements in more detail. Yeri gets a sense of achievement whenever she sees herself improve.

Additionally, Yeri is an active dancer due to her activities with Red Velvet. When she is not promoting, it is not uncommon to make time out of her day, usually one to two hours, to practice dance for five days of the week. However, it is more common for her and other idols to practice for nine to ten hours five days a week when she is promoting.

Red Velvet Yeri Diet

During an interview with Allure Korea in 2020, Yeri revealed that she has been following a low-carb meal plan. That means the idol reduced the amount of pasta, bread, rice, and sugary foods in her meals. This is an effective diet method, as decreasing carbs lowers insulin levels. This will push the body to burn stored fat.

In the interview, Yeri said that it is easier to lose weight that you have gained rapidly.

During another interview with Vogue in May 2021, Yeri revealed that she does not skip breakfast. Instead, when she wakes up, she drinks a glass of detox water. For her first meal of the day, she usually makes a smoothie by mixing ghee, almond milk, and coconut milk.

Yeri told Vogue that she had been really into salads. She eats salads with avocado, arugula, tomatoes, coconut milk and oil, and mozzarella cheese. In that same interview, she stated, "I watch what I am eating, but I definitely do not starve myself. I think a lot about menu items for me to eat that are both delicious and healthy."
