aespa's 'Savage' Becomes the Best-Selling 2021 Album by a K-pop Girl Group on Hanteo, Surpassing TWICE's 'Taste of Love'
On Oct. 29, aespa's "Savage" sold over 30,000 copies more on its 25th day of release, a total of 30,613 copies to be precise.
As of that day, "Savage" has recorded 370,350 total sales on the Hanteo Chart, becoming the best-selling album by a girl group this year.

aespa's "Savage" has now beaten TWICE's "Taste of Love," which sold 339,019 copies on Hanteo so far.
At the time it came out in June, "Taste of Love" was already the best-selling album by a girl group this year in just five days of release.
In only five days, TWICE's "Taste of Love" sold more than 264,000 copies on Hanteo, becoming the JYP girl group's second best-selling album after "MORE & MORE."

Meanwhile, "Savage" also now holds the record for the best-selling debut album by a girl group in history, surpassing BLACKPINK's "SQUARE UP," which sold 195,969 copies.
Notably, aespa's mini-album exceeded the sales of "SQUARE UP" in just two days with 197,459 copies sold.
Released on Oct. 5, aespa's "Savage" contains a total of six songs including the title track of the same name. This marks the rookie group's first physical album since their debut in November of last year with the digital single "Black Mamba."

aespa Attains 7th Win for 'Savage' on 'The Show' + Girl Group is Soaring High on Gaon Charts
On the Oct. 26 broadcast of "The Show," aespa's "Savage" was one of the candidates for first place along with ENHYPEN's "Tamed-Dashed" and "LIGHTSUM's "VIVACE."
SM Entertainment's new girl group eventually won with a total of 7,048 points over ENHYPEN's 3,590 points and LIGHTSUM's 2925 points.
This marks aespa's seventh music show win for "Savage," which is now the song that earned the group the most trophies.
Meanwhile, "Savage" and aespa's mini-album of the same name consistently rank high on different Gaon Charts.

For the week of Oct. 17 to 23, aespa's "Savage" jumped up 62 spots to hit No. 2 on the Gaon Album Chart. On the contrary, it went down six spots to No. 8 on the Retail Album Chart with 4,985 copies sold.
The title song "Savage" also descended in the ranks to hit No. 6 on the Gaon Download Chart. Nevertheless, it is the highest-ranking girl group song on the latest chart.
aespa's "Savage" also continuously ranks high on the Gaon Digital Chart. It secured the No. 3 spot with more than 25 million digital points. It is also the highest-charting girl group song on the chart's latest update.
On the Gaon Streaming Chart, "Savage" climbed down one spot to No. 2 after IU's "Strawberry Moon" claimed the No. 1 position.
Finally, aespa stayed strong at No. 5 on the Gaon Social Chart 2.0, the second-highest rank for a girl group after BLACKPINK at No. 3.
