Where is 8Eight Now? Know the Current Activities of Big Hit Music's First Co-Ed Group that Temporarily Disbanded

Before debuting the now popular boy groups BTS and TXT, Big Hit Music managed a few groups including 8Eight, which is a co-ed trio composed of two male idols and one female idol. 8Eight temporarily disbanded seven years after their debut, so let's have a look at the members' current whereabouts.

About Big Hit Music's First Co-Ed Group 8Eight

8Eight is a three-member co-ed group managed by Big Hit Music, and the members are Lee Hyun, Baek Chan, and Joo Hee. The trio debuted in August 2007 with their first album "The First."

The co-ed group is well-known for the emotional ballads that made them stand out in the K-pop music scene. Throughout their career, they released hit songs like "Without a Heart" and "Goodbye My Love."

In December 2014, Big Hit Music announced that 8Eight's activities as a group have been suspended for the meantime as two members (Joo Hee and Baek Chan) decided not to renew their exclusive contracts with the company and will be joining new agencies.

Big Hit Music added that if an opportunity arises, the 8Eight members will reunite. Fortunately, the trio did make a comeback in six years with a new single made by composer Wonderkid and producer Bang Si Hyuk.

On Feb. 7 of last year, all three 8Eight members reunited to release the single "Fool Again" or "Deceived by Love Again."
