aespa will be releasing a new version of "Dreams Come True," which was originally sung by SM Entertainment's first girl group S.E.S as part of the company's remastering project.
aespa's Version of "Dreams Come True" by S.E.S to be Released Soon as Part of the SM Remastering Project
On Nov. 4 at 11 a.m. KST, SM Entertainment and YouTube held a meeting regarding their remastering project and it was streamed live on their official YouTube channel. The event was attended by SM CEO Lee Seong Soo, YouTube's Executive Vice President Lee Seon Jeong, and aespa members Karina and Giselle.
During the talks, Lee Seong Soo announced that aespa will reinterpret S.E.S's "Dreams Come True," which was first released back in 1998. This song serves as the title track of the girl group's second studio album "Sea & Eugene & Shoo."

At the time of its release, S.E.S's "Dreams Come True" won five trophies in various music shows in Korea.
SM Entertainment's CEO said that fans can look forward to how the music, performance, and visuals of aespa's "Dreams Come True" will be completed.
Regarding their upcoming release, aespa Karina shared, "I've been singing along to S.E.S senior's songs since I was young. It is an honor to be able to sing the song of the seniors in aespa's unique color."

aespa Giselle then commented, "Since 'Dreams Come True' is a familiar song, I am thinking about how to maintain the original song while showing aespa's color. In this project, aespa will prepare a lot, so that the songs of our seniors will be reborn in the type of music that's trendy today."
Lee Seon Jeong concluded, "I hope you can feel how K-pop has evolved while listening to aespa's "Dreams Come True."
Meanwhile, the release date of aespa's own version of S.E.S's "Dreams Come True" is yet to be announced.
What is SM Entertainment's "SM Remastering Project"?
SM Entertainment's remastering project was first revealed during the company's congress this past June.
During the presentation, male SM artist Kangta introduced the SM Remastering Project, which will involve remastering more than 300 older music videos released by the agency in the past years. These MVs will be re-released with higher-quality video and audio.
In particular, the SM music videos that will be remastered are those that were dropped during the 1990s and 2000s.
This SM Remastering Project is a collaboration with YouTube Music with the aim to restore the MVs that are a part of the history of K-pop and release them to fans around the world.

Some of the music videos that will be remastered are BoA's "ID; Peace B," H.O.T's "Warrior's Descendant" and "Free to fly," Shinhwa's "T.O.P," Fly to the Sky's "Sea of Love" and more.
Kangta took part in remastering "Free to fly" by H.O.T, to where he originally belongs, in celebration of the group's 25th anniversary. Yoo Young Jin arranged the remake of the song, and the music video features aespa Winter and NCT Sungchan.
