Mnet Selects Lee Hyori as '2021 MAMA' Emcee
Lee Hyori is the first female host of MAMA. She will serve as a messenger who will connect the artists to music fans all over the world.
The former Fin.K.L. leader has established herself as a superstar not only as a K-pop artist but also as an entertainer, emcee, producer, CF Queen and trendsetter.
Lee Hyori is not afraid of trying new challenges and she perfectly digests any concept. Moreover, she is a remarkable influence as an icon of the times.

In the video, Lee Hyori's activities as a trendsetter and her moments in MAMA were shown in snippets. She is also seen standing in the middle of the room with her face being followed by a robotic camera arm.
The concept of 2021 MAMA is to have the audiences from different parts of the globe have their voices and all come together to make a powerful impact in K-Pop. The video ends with the phrase "MAKE SOME NOISE" followed by a cheering crowd.

Lee Hyori's Career After Fin.K.L.'s Disbandment
Lee Hyori was the leader, lead vocalist, and face of the group. After the unofficial disbandment of Fin.K.L., Lee Hyori moved on to pursue her solo career.
Since then, she has released several albums like "Stylish...E," "Dark Angel," "It's Hyorish," "H-Logic," "Monochrome," and her latest album "Black."
She then lent her voice for tvN's "I Need Romance 3" soundtrack.
Moreover, Lee Hyori has been active on television, she became a main cast and host on different programs like, "Happy Together," "Family Outing," "Superstar K," "Magic Eye," "Hangout with Yoo," "Jung Jae-hyung & Lee Hyori's You and I," and her famous show, "Hyori's Homestay."
This year, she participated as a member of the "Hangout with Yoo" project groups "SSAK3," together with Yoo Jae Suk and Rain; and Refund Sisters, with MAMAMOO's Hwasa, Jessi, and Uhm Jung Hwa.

Mnet's Preparation for the '2021 MAMA'
The MAMA (Mnet Asia Music Awards) has established itself as an awards ceremony that features the potential of K-pop with unique challenges, like the first worldwide K-pop awards ceremony and the MAMA WEEK event. Aside from that, the awards ceremony unites audiences all over the world through music.
This year's MAMA has made important changes to the categorizations and voting method. For the Grand Prize awards like Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and also the Bonsang awards, the winner will be decided by judges with a criteria.
Meanwhile, the Grand Prize award for Worldwide Icon of the year and the Bonsang award for Worldwide Fans' Choice Top 10 will be based on votes by the fans.
The 2021 MAMA is set to broadcast live on December 11 KST, the red carpet will begin at 4pm KST, to be followed by the awards ceremony at 6pm KST.
