JYP Entertainment's New Girl Group JYPn is Being Compared to BLACKPINK
JYP Entertainment is gearing to launch a new girl group, JYPn (tentative name), in February 2022. To hype up the girl group's debut, the company has released several videos and images of the members in the line-up, showing fans their visuals and skills before their debut. In addition, it was recently revealed that the group would have seven members.
Following the reveal of all the members, people started comparing JYPn to BLACKPINK, a girl group signed under YG Entertainment. Why? Because of their stage names.

The seven members of JYPn are Lily, Haewon, Bae, Sullyoon, Kyujin, Jiwoo, and Jinni. Three members make the K-pop community think of BLACKPINK. Lily is being compared to Lisa due to their similar names. Additionally, Lisa is also known as Lily among fans. The Thai idol even has a YouTube channel under the name LiLiFilm.
Additionally, Jiwoo is being compared to Jisoo...
... and Jinni is being compared to Jennie. Again, it is because of the similarities of their names.
After discovering these similarities, internet users took to social media to leave comments. Some comments left include, "JYP seems obsessed with BLACKPINK," "For JYP, BLACKPINK is the standard," "Another strategy: copying BLACKPINK's names," and "I will just wait until YG Entertainment debuts BLACKPINK's junior group to knock this group out with their inherent talent and visuals."

Who is JYPn?
JYPn is the tentative name of JYP Entertainment's upcoming girl group. JYPn comprises seven members: Jinni, Jiwoo, Kyujin, Sullyoon, Bae, Haewon, and Lily. JYPn is slated to make their official debut in February 2022. The group name will most likely be unveiled once their debut date draws closer.

JYP Entertainment first released an album for pre-order before announcing the members to promote the girl group. Buyers will receive the album once the girl group debuts. Following the pre-order of albums, JYP Entertainment started releasing videos of the members to YouTube to promote the members' talents.
JYP Entertainment also took to Twitter to release photos of the members once they were announced.
