Twitch Streamer 39daph Slammed for Playing Video Game at BTS Concert

On December 2, a Twitter user and Twitch streamer by the name of @saysoamy shared a video of Twitch streamer 39daph, whose real name is Daphne, trying to play the mobile video game Cookie Run during BTS's concert in Los Angeles. @sosoamy replied to her own tweet, saying, "Gaming waits for no one."

The video has since garnered over 461,000 views on the platform. ARMYs expressed their rage over the situation, saying that the concert seat and ticket money was wasted on someone who did not even want to watch BTS perform.

In addition, many wondered why she tried to play the video game at the concert when she could have just stayed home to play.

Meanwhile, others expressed disappointment, saying that they would have given all their attention to BTS if they had Daphne's ticket and seat.

Following the backlash, Daphne took to her Twitter to issue a statement. In her tweet, she said, "Hey, I know I upset some BTS fans with the video of me playing Cookie Run for ten-second seconds on bad connection, unfortunately I couldn't play any longer than that, but the VIP guest booth tickets were free!"

She stated that no money was wasted and that tickets in those areas were sold.

One of her followers replied to the tweet, saying that it was obvious that those seats were not up for purchase since no one in that area had a lightstick. Daphne replied to this tweet, saying that seats at the VIP section are not available for sale and are invite-only. Therefore, she did not play for her ticket. Instead, she stated it was handed out by the establishment owners to invite.

Despite her statement, many are still upset over the situation. People stated that they understand that she can do whatever she wants but that Daphne should understand that there are people who dream of going to a BTS concert and still have not attended any. One Twitter user wrote, "Seeing that video was kind of a slap in the face. That is why some of them got mad, and rightfully so."
