EXO Kai and Red Velvet Wendy Reveal Why They're Still Awkward With Each Other Despite Being Labelmates
Recently, EXO member Kai made a guest appearance on the December 2 broadcast of SBS Power FM's radio program, "Young Street," which is hosted by fellow SM Entertainment labelmate and Red Velvet member Wendy.
During the program, the two SM Entertainment artists met each other after a long time, and even ensued in a "bowing battle" upon Kai's arrival at the studio.
As soon as Kai entered the studio, Wendy got out of her seat and bowed deeply to her senior - even going as far as getting on her knees to pay her respect, to which Kai did the same!

Once the two finished their mini-battle and took their seats, Kai and Wendy awkwardly laughed.
As they were laughing and greeting each other, Kai and Wendy revealed an interesting fact: That was the first time the two ever spoke to each other properly!
Although Kai and Wendy are the same age (both born in 1994), and had been under the same label, SM Entertainment, for more than eight years together, they reveal that they have yet to speak for more than 10 seconds with each other.
"We have only said 'hi' to each other when we walk past each other. Or say things like, 'Good job today,'" Kai and Wendy explained.
Kai added, "I think this is our first time being in the same room together for more than 10 seconds as well. We are like family in a way, but I feel Wendy is like a distant cousin."

Wendy agrees and also feels like she is distant cousins with Kai, and adds that this is the most she has spoken to Kai as compared to how much they have spoken together in the past eight years combined.
"I am quite nervous right now," Wendy said.
Although the two K-Pop artists are still quite awkward with each other, they try to relieve some of the tense atmosphere by throwing compliments at one another.
EXO Kai's Latest Activities
Recently on November 30, Kai made his solo comeback with the release of his second mini-album, "Peaches," exactly a year following his debut mini-album "KAI."
His latest album features a total of six tracks: his title track of the same name "Peaches," "Vanilla," "Domino," "Come In," "To Be Honest," and "Blue."
