TXT's 'The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE' Named as One of the Best Albums of 2021 by NME
On Dec. 10 local time, the British music magazine NME released its "50 Best Albums of 2021" list, which includes this year's "truly brilliant" albums released in the past 12 months.
On the list, TXT's second full album "The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE" took the No. 38 spot. NME described the boy group as the "leaders of K-pop's fourth generation."

The popular magazine then talked about TXT's album of how the album brought the trials and tribulations of young adulthood to life. They added that the group's new record consists of "golden tunes" and is their "best release to date."
NME also noted that ahead of the release of TXT's "The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE," the quintet's previous works were a "skip-free zone," which means all songs from their past albums are worth listening to.
In their previously released article in May, NME commented that "The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE" is an album that represents the boy group's significant growth. They added that the members' vocals are more powerful and emotive than ever.

The British magazine also stated that the five TXT members - Soobin, Beomgyu, Taehyun and Huening Kai - are "like true Gen Z artists" as they can successfully deliver an array of genres as if they have been doing it for years.
And because of this, NME stated that it is not surprising to learn that TXT has been crowned both the leaders and it-boys of K-pop's fourth generation.
Meanwhile, the repackaged version of TXT's "The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE," titled "The Chaos Chapter: FIGHT OR ESCAPE" is included in Rolling Stone's "Top 50 Albums of 2021" list as the only K-pop album as well.
