GOT7 BamBam has officially announced the date for his solo comeback this December and unveiled the first batch of concept photos of his upcoming pre-single.
GOT7 BamBam Announces Solo Comeback Date and Drops First Round of Concept Photos for Pre-Single
On Dec. 14 at midnight KST, BamBam uploaded several black-and-white concept photos to his social media accounts. All pictures have the word "PRE-SINGLE" as well as the date "2021.12.28," suggesting that he will make a comeback with a new song on Dec. 28.
GOT7 BamBam's pre-single is his new song in six months since his first solo mini-album "riBBon" was dropped in June.
On Dec. 13 at midnight KST, GOT7's rapper hinted at his return by unexpectedly sharing a mysterious moving teaser. The 10-second clip shows a line drawing of his name together with what looks like a face in between the words "Bam" and "Bam."

While various speculations about the moving teaser are continuing among fans, the recently released concept photos for BamBam's pre-single stimulate curiosity about what kind of story the GOT7 member will convey through his new song.
It is worth noting that his upcoming music release on Dec. 28 is a pre-single, so this might mean that GOT7 BamBam will drop a new album later on.
BamBam began his solo activities in June this year after signing an exclusive contract with ABYSS Company. While he is signed as a soloist under the agency, he remains a GOT7 member.

He kicked off his solo career with his first solo mini-album "riBBon," which was the best-selling album by a male soloist in June after selling more than 100,000 copies. This album contains the title song "riBBon," which GOT7 BamBam co-written and co-composed.
"riBBon" earned the Black Melody Award for Most Downloaded Song in the first 10 days of July 2021 from Line Melody Music Charts in Thailand. The track also debuted at No. 17 on Billboard's World Digital Song Sales Chart. Meanwhile, the album topped the iTunes Album charts in 34 regions.

Other than that, the music video for BamBam's "riBBon" hit 50 million views on YouTube in less than two weeks of release. Remarkably, it surpassed 10 million views within 24 hours after its release. It has over 62 million views as of writing.

GOT7 BamBam Wins Two Awards at 2021 Asia Artist Awards (AAA)
In other news, BamBam has won his first awards at the Asia Artist Awards as a soloist. This year's AAA was held on Dec 2 at KBS Arena Hall, with Super Junior Leeteuk and IVE Jang Wonyoung as hosts.
During the awards ceremony, GOT7 BamBam was announced as the winner of two awards: Best Artist Award (Singer) and Asia Celebrity Award (Singer).
In his acceptance speech for the "Asia Celebrity Award," the Thai rapper said, "It hasn't been long since I debuted as a solo artist but thanks for this award. And, for my label, for taking care of me. Also, to my (GOT7) members who are not here. I'm always thankful. Lastly, to my fans, (thank you) for trusting me and supporting me."
