The nonet filled the venue with enthusiasm and adorable feminine energy. KBS reportedly chose this song to cheer up the spirit of the medical staff and the general public during this difficult pandemic.

Despite the overall positive reception from viewers concerning the performance, Jang Wonyoung drew mixed opinions. Many were unhappy over the amount of screentime she received, as the cameraman often zoomed into her even when she was not in the center or when it was not her part.

Many also stated that she did not match the concept of the song. "Way To Go" is a bright song that requires a lot of energy, and people state that the IVE member did not deliver.

People also think her expression on stage is bland and more "industrial," meaning it did not appear natural. They stated that she always had the same pouty lips and wink and that it seemed too rehearsed and no longer had the same air of freshness she initially became famous for.

Further, some criticized her lack of energy while dancing.

While the other eight female idols were dancing energetically and joyfully, people claimed Jang Wonyoung was not performing with as much strength to maintain her beauty.

Others then said she was dancing less energetically to maintain light and pretty in all of her shots.

Some of the comments concerning Jang Wonyoung's performance during the "Way to Go" stage include, "The same puffy mouth, pouty lips, and wink and smile." "She looks so awkward," "Honestly, doesn't anyone find Wonyoung's expressions outdated? She has the same expressions every time she goes on stage," and "I like Jang Wonyoung, but she has been showing more and more fake expressions and industry smiles."
