Despite BTS V's warning of taking stern legal action against malicious commenters, a certain YouTuber "Sojang" continuously spread malicious videos about the idol. Earlier, ARMYs were also accused of manipulating the brand reputation index, one of the meters to measure an idol's popularity.

According to an article by TopStarNews, the YouTuber's identity, which was earlier revealed by BTS V, was "Taldeok Camp (Sojang)" wherein video clips of malicious contents and rumors about several idol singers as well as BTS were distributed as if they were real.
In particular, regarding V, the YouTuber maliciously visualized rumors of a romantic relationship with a daughter of a chaebol, mistakes in following BLACKPINK's Jennie's Instagram, and photos of his recent beard growth.
In particular, the video creator wrote in the photo of the idol's beard growing, "He looks drunk" "He is a mess" and more.
As a result, the worldwide icon announced that he will be taking strong legal action against such malicious videos, particularly on this certain YouTuber.

But amid the warning, "Sojang" even provoked the idol as well as its fandom, ARMYs, by accusing them of manipulating the brand reputation index.
In the clip, the YouTuber claimed that the rankings of BTS V, along with BTS Jimin and Jungkook's in the brand reputation list were manipulated.
There are also "pieces of evidence" "Sojang" included wherein fan cafe dedicated for the members, particularly to V comprised of 3 million allegedly manipulated articles with no significant contents, which were created to raise the social media points of the idol. What made the cafe more skeptical was that it only have less than 1,000 members.

After hearing a part of a video of a malicious YouTuber posted by a netizen on their fan community Weverse on the 20th, V announced his plans to sue the personas behind malicious rumors against various idols including BTS.
"I'll proceed with the complaint. The price of the snack will come out, you're even touching my family and friends, bye," V initially said.
"I just saw it skimmed on it, and not only us, but all artists hate that person. All the fans, ARMY, may or may not have monitored it, but I'll sue on behalf of those who were hurt but were not courageous enough (to sue)," the idol later on added, emphasizing that he will also file lawsuit against the YouTuber in behalf of other idols.
Along with him, Big Hit Music, to which V belongs, is taking regular legal action against authors of malicious posts containing defamation, insults, sexual harassment, false information, and malicious slander as well.
