Several male idols, as well as female idols, from different idol groups, will collaborate for a few special stages at the 2021 SBS Gayo Daejeon.

2021 SBS Gayo Daejeon: Male and Female Idols to Team Up for a Few Special Stages
On Dec. 23, the music festival's production team announced that since 2021 marks SBS Gayo Daejeon's 25th anniversary, "legendary stages" have been prepared. These stages involve male and female idols forming units to reinterpret unforgettable performances from the past years of Gayo Daejeon.
The production team went on to reveal that the male idols who have prepared a collaboration stage are ASTRO Moonbin, The Boyz Juyeon, Stray Kids Hyunjin, SF9 Taeyang and WOODZ (Cho Seung Youn).

Meanwhile, the female idols who are teaming up are ITZY Ryujin, STAYC Isa, Lee Chae Yeon and (G)I-DLE Minnie.
In addition to the "legendary stages", the 2021 SBS Gayo Daejeon will also feature a Christmas hip hop performance from AOMG artists such as Gray, Lee Hi, Simon Dominic, and Loco.
Further, the music festival will comprise performances of different idol groups such as NU'EST, Red Velvet, NCT 127, Oh My Girl, NCT Dream, ASTRO, TXT, Brave Girls, ITZY, Stray Kids, ATEEZ, The Boyz, STAYC, aespa, IVE and ENHYPEN.
This year's SBS Gayo Daejeon will take place at Namdong Gymnasium in Incheon on Dec. 25 at 6 p.m. KST. The event will be held with the theme "WELCOME", which will be composed of stages hoping to return to the offline era where artists and fans can meet in person once again.
Moreover, SHINee Key, ITZY Yuna and Boom will serve as hosts at the annual music festival.

A Few Highlights of 2020 SBS Gayo Daejeon in Daegu
The 2020 edition of SBS Gayo Daejeon was held offline due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The event was entirely pre-recorded to follow the safety protocols. It featured celebratory performances, holiday specials and special collaborations. And, the hosts were Super Junior Kim Heechul, Boom and APRIL Naeun.
The artists who attended the event were BTS, SEVENTEEN, TWICE, MAMAMOO, GOT7, MONSTA X, GFRIEND, IZ*ONE, NU'EST, Oh My Girl, The Boyz, (G)I-DLE, Stray Kids, ATEEZ, TXT, ITZY, MOMOLAND, APRIL, TREASURE, aespa, CRAVITY and ENHYPEN.
Aside from these idol groups, viewers of the 2020 SBS Gayo Daejeon in Daegu also enjoyed a solo stage of "NUNU NANA" singer Jessi.
Some of the boy group stages were BTS' "Dynamite," "Life Goes On" and "Black Swan"; SEVENTEEN's "Left & Right," "24H" and "My My"; GOT7's "Breath," "Poison" and "Just Right"; and MONSTA X's "Love Killa," "BEASTMODE," and "Trespass."
Meanwhile, the girl group stages included TWICE's "I Can't Stop Me" and "More & More"; MAMAMOO's "AYA" + "Dingga"; GFRIEND's "Apple" and "MAGO"; and IZ*ONE's "Festival," "Panorama" and "Secret Story of the Swan."
The music festival also featured a collab stage of The Boyz's New, Sangyeon, and Younghoon, GFRIEND Yuju, MONSTA X Kihyun and (G)I-DLE Miyeon and Yuqi, who sang "My Song" together.
