MLD Entertainment Reaffirms that No Rigging Occurred during 'Finding MOMOLAND'
On Dec. 27, MLD Entertainment released an official statement to once again deny the claim that there was a manipulation of votes regarding the member selection on "Finding Momoland."
"Finding Momoland" was a girl group survival program aired in 2016 where 10 trainees from MLD Entertainment (Duble Kick Company at the time) competed against each other to secure a spot in a new girl group, which was eventually called MOMOLAND. The trainees were chosen based on professional judging, online votes and live audience votes.

This claim was raised by former MOMOLAND Daisy and was released through an exclusive report of KBS in January 2020. The female idol visited the KBS studio with her mother and shared her side of the matter.
MLD Entertainment immediately denied Daisy's claim and now they released another statement denying this allegation after going through a legal process.

In their newly released statement, MOMOLAND's agency said that after learning about the news of "Finding Momoland" being rigged, they reached out to the court and media arbitration committee through their legal team to demand KBS to issue an apology and clarification of the report.
MLD Entertainment continued that the court ruled in favor of them on Dec. 25 and that KBS has clarified the initial report at the end of their broadcast.
The company then emphasized that there was no manipulation in choosing the MOMOLAND members during the final episode of "Finding Momoland."
What Did Former MOMOLAND Daisy Say to KBS about 'Finding Momoland' Being Rigged?
During the interview with KBS, former MOMOLAND member Daisy said that MLD Entertainment contacted her and asked to have a meeting after she was eliminated from "Finding Momoland."
She added that the company told her they had already planned to include her in MOMOLAND regardless of her elimination and that she would debut in the next album once the promotions for the group's first album have ended.
Daisy continued that someone from the label approached her after her elimination and told her that she doesn't have to worry as they had plans for her.

As told, Daisy was added to MOMOLAND when they released their second album "Wonderful Love," which arrived half a year after the group's debut.
Following the report, a representative from MLD Entertainment confirmed that they made an offer to Daisy to join MOMOLAND and debut in the next album. However, they clarified that she joined the girl group because she agreed to it.
The company went on to explain that they simply added a new member to fill in the aspects that were lacking in the group.
Meanwhile, Daisy is not part of MOMOLAND anymore but is still under MLD Entertainment. She has not been taking part in the girl group's promotions since February of 2019 and seems to be taking steps to terminate her contract with the label.
