MOMOLAND to Release New Song, Surprise Comeback After a Year
On December 28, MLD Entertainment, MOMOLAND's management agency, announced that the girl group will release a new song on January 14, 2022, and it will serve as a surprise comeback from the girls.
This comeback is about a year after the special collaboration album "Wrap Me In Plastic" was released in February.
MOMOLAND has been actively communicating with fans all over the world with different online performances, YouTube content, and live broadcast. The group won the "Best Choice" singer category during the 2021 Asia Artist Awards, which was held last December 2.

Music fans from around the world are now anticipating the new music and concepts that MOMOLAND will bring with their comeback after almost a year.
At the time, MOMOLAND is in the midst of its final preparations before the release of its new song for the upcoming year.
MOMOLAND x PSY Collaboration for Song 'Ready or Not'
On November 17, MOMOLAND released a new collaboration song "Ready or Not" with global hit singer PSY.
The single is a special song that marked the fourth anniversary of the group by working together with PSY, who is famous for his worldwide hits "Gangnam Style" and "Gentleman."
During an interview, PSY stated that he was glad to collaborate with MOMOLAND because the girl group's music style is similar to his, which is exciting and energetic. He also shared that after he listened to the song's demo version, he really liked it so much that he decided to participate in writing the lyrics.

MOMOLAND made its debut in 2016 as a nine-member girl group, they gained popularity for their catchy songs like "Bboom Bboom" and "BAAM" which were released in 2018 and became global hits, and "I'm So Hot" which was released in 2019.
MLD Entertainment's Statement on the Accusation of Manipulating the Results of 'Finding MOMOLAND'
On December 27, MLD released an official statement concerning the news that KBS News 9 reported on January 7, 2020.
MOMOLAND's management agency posted the message to clarify that the news was not true and there was no manipulation happening during the survival program, "Finding MOMOLAND."
Below is the full statement from MLD Entertainment:
"Hello, this is MLD Entertainment. On January 7, 2020, KBS 'News 9' reported that there was manipulation in the member selection process during Mnet's 'Finding Momoland' program, which aired for two months starting in July 2016, and that the agency admitted to the allegations.
Through the legal team, we requested a formal apology and prompt correction regarding KBS's malicious and biased report to the court and the Media Arbitration Committee. The court ruled in our favor and on December 25, KBS News 9 reported the correct information at the end of the broadcast.
We would like to inform you once again that there was no manipulation in the member selection process of the program and that it was conducted through a fair procedure. Thank you to everyone who believed and supported us."
