Since Oricon's Weekly Streaming Chart was launched in 2018, BTS's "Dynamite" is just the second work to hit half a billion views, following Yoasabi's "Yoru ni Kakeru." This makes the septet the first all-male artist, first idol group, and first foreign act to achieve this milestone.

"Dynamite" first appeared on the Japanese weekly streaming chart on Aug. 31, 2020, when it debuted at No. 3. It then climbed to No. 1 in its second week on the tally dated Sept. 7, 2020.

From its first entry on the Oricon chart to its latest appearance, BTS's "Dynamite" has been inside the Top 20 for 71 consecutive weeks, proving its constant popularity in Japan.

In January this year, "Dynamite" surpassed 200 million streams on Oricon, becoming the first song by a foreign artist in the chart's history to obtain this feat.

The English hit went on to reach 300 million cumulative streams, making BTS the first foreign act to achieve this milestone. The septet is also the third artist to do so, following Official Hige Dandism (with "Pretender" [2019]) and Yoasabi (with "Yoruni Kakeru" [2019]).

What's more, BTS's "Dynamite" is the fastest song in Oricon history to exceed 300 million streams, doing so in only 36 weeks since its release.
