Yeonjung rose to prominence after making her debut as one of the members of the "Produce 101" formed girl group, I.O.I, back in 2016, and later joining Starship Entertainment's Cosmic Girls, also known as WJSN.
Just like most idols, Yeonjung is also someone who has lost weight through the years, and has successfully maintained her weight. With that, how did the "Unnatural" singer shed off some of her weight? Here's what we know about Yeonjung's workout routine!
Cosmic Girls Yeonjung's Workout Routine
Yeonjung has always had a slim figure, which can be due to her amazing genes. As seen during her appearance on the first season of Mnet's survival reality program "Produce 101," Yeonjung didn't have the need to lose weight.
However, the public didn't think so as her time on the show and as a member of I.O.I garnered her a lot of harsh criticisms due to her weight and appearance, with many labelling her as "fat" and "ugly" despite having amazing vocals and already being slim.
This can be due to her round face and chubby cheeks, which also resulted in her being chosen as one of the trainees needing to lose weight according to the show's trainer.
Fortunately, Yeonjung didn't enlist the help of crash and extreme dieting as a result of the criticisms, and instead found a healthier way to lose weight. Since then, she has maintained her weight of around 50kg to 53kg.

When it comes to her workout routine, Yeonjung and the rest of Cosmic Girls revealed that Starship Entertainment would make the whole group lose weight together if they surpassed their weight limit.
At that time, they would go on severe diet and hit the gym regularly. But over time, Yeonjung found a new exercise to do.
Yeonjung revealed that she likes doing pilates, which helped her lose faster at around 6kg in just two months.
Pilates is a workout that most K-Pop idols, especially females, swear by, as it not only helps build flexibility and tones the body, but also strength and muscle in every body part.
Despite pilates being labelled as a hard workout, Yeonjung says it is actually more fun and easy.
Of course, one of Yeonjung's main form of workouts is dance practices. Given that she is an idol, she would be required to dedicate some time to dance practices, whether or not she is preparing for a comeback or just for leisure.

Although each time dedicated for dance practice sessions vary from idol to idol, they would usually spend at least an hour and a half to dance practices alone.
Unfortunately, Yeonjung never mentioned what she ate whenever she goes on a diet. But it is likely that she would eat smaller portions and healthier food.
