BLACKPINK Jisoo Pays Tribute to Late 'Snowdrop' Co-Star Kim Mi Soo

Back on January 5, media outlets reported that actress and "Snowdrop" star, Kim Mi Soo, had suddenly passed away at the age of 29 (31 in Korean age). Kim Mi Soo's label Landscape Entertainment confirmed the news in an official statement, but did not reveal her cause of death.

Many have been shocked by the sudden news of her passing, especially as she appears on JTBC's ongoing Friday-Saturday drama "Snowdrop," which is currently airing on Disney+ and JTBC, with BLACKPINK Jisoo.

In the drama, Kim Mi Soo plays the role of Yeo Jung Min, a student, fellow dormitory roommate, and best friend of Jisoo's character Eun Young Ro at Hosoo Women's University. Her appearance on the show has earned her a lot of love from viewers, even from Jisoo herself.

Along with the pictures, she added the caption "My dear room No. 207," which is in reference to her and Kim Mi Soo's dorm room number in the drama.

BLACKPINK Fans Complain About Group's Long Hiatus

In other news, BLACKPINK fans, BLINKs, are expressing their disappointment with the group's lack of promotions as a group.

On an online community forum, fans have took to the platform to share their thoughts on YG Entertainment's lack of promotions for the four-member girl group, with many expressing their anger with the label for not properly giving BLACKPINK music activities.

In fact, BLACPINK's last release was their first studio album "THE ALBUM" back in October 2020. In January 2021, the group had their first online concert.

While each member did have their own activities in 2021, such as Rosé and Lisa debuting as a solo artist, Jennie launching her own Youtube channel, and Jisoo debuting as an actress for "Snowdrop," fans are still frustrated with the waiting and long hiatus, and have even compared their hiatus to that of the duration of a military service.

Some comments are: "I mean...did they enlist in the military? Sigh lol," "Shouldn't they release at least one album per year? It isn't like they are doing any world tours because of COVID," and "I feel like they are more like Instagram celebrities now since they don't have comebacks often."
