Oh My Girl Hyojung and Binnie Reveal How Skinny WM Entertainment Forced Them To Be

On January 6, 2021, DUM DUM Studio uploaded the latest episode of "Hyojung & Binnie's Sweet Home" to YouTube. The episode featured Billlie's Moon Sua and Suhyeon as guests. There, Oh My Girl members Hyojung and Binnie revealed the specific weight their company forced them to maintain.

During the episode, Hyojung and Binnie prepared Korean barbecue for the Billlie members. Suhyeon and Moon Sua revealed it had been a long time since they ate meat, which prompted Binnie to ask if their company forced them on a diet. When Moon Sua revealed that they were put on a diet, Binnie defended them, saying that they had to eat a lot now since they were on the show.

This led to a discussion on diets. Binnie revealed that when Oh My Girl was still rookies, they were put on a strict diet. Their company, WM Entertainment, even prohibited them from going to convenience stores and supermarkets to buy food. Surprisingly, the same rule was put on the Billlie members even before they debuted.

Binnie stated that such a rule was useless, as they will learn how to take care of themselves anyway.

Hyojun then surprised viewers by stating that they were not allowed to surpass 45-46kg, which is roughly 99-101lbs. Hyojung noted that they would be told to lose weight if they exceeded that number.

Binnie shocked the guests by saying that she was personally told to stay at 42kg, which is just 92.5lbs. Hyojung stated that for her, she had to stay at 44kg, which is approximately 97lbs.

However, Binnie reassured the guests and the viewers, staying they never stayed in that range. It is unknown if WM Entertainment still enforces such rules on Oh My Girl, but since the girls have been active since 2015, it is highly unlikely they are forced to diet.
