WANNA ONE to Officially Release a New Song Titled "Beautiful Part 3" - Here's When

On Jan. 10, JTBC released an exclusive report announcing that the project boy group WANNA ONE will drop new music this January. It is said that they will release "Beautiful Part 3," which will be the final installment of the group's "Beautiful" series that began in 2017.

"Beautiful Part 1" is about the beginning of the 11 members meeting and becoming one, while "Beautiful Part 2" tells a story of the boys hoping to meet again soon after parting ways to become one once again.

WANNA ONE's "Beautiful Part 3" is a new track the group made for their reunion stage at the 2021 MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Awards), which was held on Dec. 11 of last year.

JTBC added that WANNA One's new song is scheduled for release in the last week of January, specifically on the 27th. It is also said that the track will serve as a gift for the fans.

In response to the news, a source from WANNA ONE told the Korean media outlet Newsen that the project boy group will indeed release "Beautiful Part 3" on the said date.

"Beautiful Part 3" will mark the band's first music release as a group in three years and two months since their disbandment in December 2018. While the boys' contracts expired in December, their last group activity was in January 2019, when they wrapped up their final concert.

WANNA ONE's Reunion Stage at the 2021 MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Awards)

In November 2021, it was confirmed that the project boy group WANNA ONE, which was formed through Mnet's boy group survival show "Produce 101 (Season 2)," will reunite in two years since their disbandment. However, only 10 members will participate excluding Lai Kuanlin who was embroiled in two controversies in 2020.

There were also reports stating that CJ E&M talked with the WANNA ONE members' respective agencies regarding the group's concert and album in the future. However, it was announced that Minhyun and Ong Seongwu will only participate in the reunion stage at the 2021 MAMA and will not join the group's subsequent activities.

On the day of the 2021 MAMA, Dec. 11, WANNA ONE not only premiered "Beautiful Part 3" but also performed their hit tracks "Energetic" and "Burn It Up" as well as a snippet of "Spring Breeze."

Although the boy group pre-recorded their reunion stage, they were unable to personally attend the main awards ceremony after one staff member of band member Kang Daniel tested positive for COVID-19. Reports stated that the staff entered the recording studio without the PCR test result that CJ ENM required and made contact with the WANNA ONE members.
